3650 does have a better cam, much better - there are pics on the 3650 threads and lots of people (more trusworthy than me!) that say so.
I print mine on photo paper at 150dpi and they look quite acceptable.
About the gag - it started as a laugh, I thought you'd all find the pic of the mmc card in the back the phone quite funny after that other guy produced a pic of a 7650 with an mmc hanging out the side - but then it escalated and got a bit out of hand as I tried to beat the critics with more 'proof'
I thought I might hang it out till April 1st but I could not tourment you any further - I am sad enough and could have dragged it out but thought it too mean so I came up with the Nokia page as my final farewell.

OK I was very offending in the begining after realising it was a hoax. I was not sure if it was true or not until I saw the first nokia page. I was then really convinced and happy, even though I paid for the internet through my mobile phone (no gprs /made a call through my phone to the isp just to see this site). It made me very happy. But this happiness lasted only 5 minutes. After realising the hoax, as well as the money I lost on the internet call, I really got very mad.
I don't want you to get banned, BUT most of the people that were banned by aas started by creating hoaxes like yours and then making other relatively bad things so it was very easy for the mods to take some actions...
I just hope we will see only truths here in aas, and please don't ever do it again.
PS: I still hope we will get an 7650 with mmc and most importantly we will deserve an upgrade on a fee (like t68 users,but they got it free because there was no hardware change). But I doubt we will. Nokia is more like Microsoft on these things... (And I am sure it is a Microsoft wannabe company as well as Sony.

Thanks again for the laugh, you guys who got pissed off really need to lighten up a little - it's ONLY a phone! It's not the end of the world if it doesn't become a reality. In 3 years time you'll look back and think - man that 7650 was an ugly heavy huge brick, they were right not to try and upgrade it...
I'm sure nokia has phones much better in every way in the pipeline, they will be going forward and not re-hashing old technology. I anticipate a successor to the 7650 in the next 18 months, and I'm sure that when we all see it we'll be NEEDING one!
Just to add my final post to this topic, from one who was taken in, like Evobit said we all know that down the line Nokia will produce a bigger and better phone.
Maybe even within 6 months there will be something new. You never know we could all be wanting the latest Motorola phone that beats the pants off what Nokia and Ericsson have to offer!!!

Thats what I'm thinking.. I mean if it were real they would surely put in more 'security' to protect it; but then.. who knows? But I'm sure its just a 7650 with an MMC slot improvised so it could be a test 3650. But bear in mind I'm also a very poor and easily jealous person.

but.. i don't see much diff between 3650 and 7650 except for its casing (its bigger) and well.. thats about it then. If it has an MMC slot.

Why the hell would they phase 7650i into the normal market without making a big deal out of it? Why would they make an announcement next month? And why would they let people throw out their phones in exchange for new ones when Nokia knows they can very well sell it damn easy?

Yeah, right. And until nokia will release it, i am sure that se will release another monster phone better than p800. So it will be useless. I think that if nokia was going to upgrade the 7650, this would be done on the first 6 months. I am quite sure that nokia develops another phone as well as another series of user interface(maybe series 90). But my nokia 7650 will be with me for a long time, more than 2 years for sure. My next phone? A panasonic symbian phone, or if it will not be so good, i am sure siemens will do the job...
You're right MemphisX. A smartphone is not a "use and discard" piece of technology. Up until the 7650, the only issue about discarding the previous phone (when moving to another) was does the new one have big screen, pop3 etc. Even the cost of the new, latest phone was not high.
First the 7650 is expensive!
Secondly most of us have spent a small (additional) fortune on apps for this platform.
So there are arguments to indicate that users will remain with the same phone for longer (until it is dropped heavily on the floor for the last time). Unless series 60 is good enough to use as a platform going forward (which I doubt).
What should Nokia do in the future? Put more software on the smartphones to make it easier for owners to consider upgrading?
I think I will be using the 7650 for at least 18 months... unless I can get hold of a 7650i for a mere �90 😃

I don't think via that the small fortune spent on the apps for the phone is an issue when you buy a new smartphone,unless it has a different UI. But then even if i sell my phone now for let's say a siemens sx1 (i don't even want to mention 3650) i will loose some money and the fetteres i'll gain (beside the memory issue) would be useless or better say not so important to me. The same goes to pcs. If you have a computer whith which you can do your job, and do it very good without any problems, why would you upgrade it with the most expensive there is out there? Pcs and smartphones are the same think for me. Upgrade only if you really need it.
