List of APPS that works/don't on 6600

Zero Index BlackJack does not work on 6600. I dont know how many people love BlackJack, I do, and I used to play it all the time with this java app. But holy crap, do not try to run this on your 6600. The phone will repeatedly flash General Error with the backlight flashing on and off until you shut the phone off.

Fortunately my other favorites work. ReadM, Vexed and Blacklist.

Well not as rich as u Ghostdog, but yes we can all pay for these software, as i said in one of my other posts 10-15 Dollars is what you expect to pay for lunch, out! So there shouldn't be any problem as long as everybody's getting what they want!!

I never disrespected all the wonderful developers out there programming for symbian, I just said that companies ripping off customers shouldn't be ripping them off, just that!

Any I certainly agree with the guys (I think you said to Ghosdog if I'm correct) that have this idea of the boycott thing for companies trying to make more money the wrong way. We should just not buy from them to teach them a lesson and since allaboutsymbian.com is the biggest symbian community on the net, the companies using foul techniques of marketing will respond positively to whatever decision is made against or in favour of them, but of course it might take some time, but it will happen finally, like the psiloc and epocware issues which as I am aware are solved with everybody or mostly happy people, if not all.

BTW:I'm not rich.I still own a 1.5 years old Nokia 7650.

Is that US$? if you can pay that much for lunch you are rich, I have never in my life spent more that US$5 on a lunch, but then I don't live in the US either, nor will I.

For what its worth US$2-4 is an appropiate amount for a meal, that would be a large serve of rice with chicken, beef, veggies, egg and pork, or a large bowl of noodles of various types. Add US$0.50 for a cold drink.

OK this may be a hard concept for you all to grasp but in many countries McDonalds is a Luxuary resturant where only the rich can afford to eat. But yet a mobile phone is not a luxuary as they are cheaper and more reliable than a landline.

But instead of paying a council/local government for garbage collection, a private enterprise pays you to collect your garbage for recycling. So I should just say that life is very different in the east from the west.

Guys, PLEASE HELP.

I tried downloading a trail version of the MP3GO which is in ZIP and which needs to be extracted first before I can transfer the SIS file in to my MMC (through an MMC reader).

My question is HOW WOULD I INSTALL this application and be placed in my phone memory. I am not really familiar with the phone's memory structure.

IN NEED OF YOUR HELP. Thanks,

After you extract the sis file, just simply double click the sis file and it will automatically install on your phone. And while on the process of installation it will ask you to which memory to be installed, phone or card memory just select it....and that's it.

P.S.
I assumed that you have Nokia PC Suite and IR or Bluetooth installed on your PC.

Sms assistant does NOT work on 6600.It states here that it does work with V1.03. The newest version of SMS Assistant for Communicator is 2.21. And the newest version of SMS Assistant for Series 60 is 1.05. Unfortunately SMS Assistant for Series 60 is 1.05 is not compatible with Symbian 7.0s-based platforms, like the Series 60 release in Nokia 6600. Newest SMS Assitant releases can be found always in /www.iki.fi/eerola/tuomas/download.html.

well this was me...

on my 6600 (v.3.42.1) sms-assist. v.1.03 work fine.
(i put it in phone-memory)

But i buy Smart answer, so i dont need anymore this nice progy.

Hi all,

I've had my precious for nearly a week now, and was looking at getting a couple of games, however most games i see listed on sites don't have 6600 listed as compatible. I'm not sure if this is just because they haven't updated or its just not compatible. I was wondering if games for the 7650 work on 6600? I don't want to waste my money on a game i can't play.

I have recently installed MP3go on my phone. But i can't upload the mp3 file from my computer to the phone. I send it through IR. And appears in the mailbox. However, it cannot be recognized or be transfered to the folder of mp3go. Can somebody teach me how to upload mp3s. thank you!

Photographer doesnt work
eprofile v1.80.0 doesnt work
Psiloc Total irRemote1.?? doesnt work

I also cant uninstall the mp3player v1.10 full version and also the eprofile v1.80.0

Any ideas?

Photographer v2.4 works.. but u need to install it in Phone Memory and it takes up a lot of memory

Total irRemote works too.

If u have problem uninstalling any SW, one option is use UnMakeSIS on the installation SIS to check what is installed and to which directory and then do a check on ur HP to ensure all installed files are removed. So far, this works for me.
