ive bought a 128meg mmc and want to transfer the opera that came on my 32meg mmc anyone know how to do it ?

No, Opera is Sh*t, I downloaded from the site but the app appears as trial in my 6600. I wrote them 2 weeks ago about this but no answer.
Then I have not browser.

already been and downloaded that but its a older version and its a demo version you have to pay for after 14 days

They have a download specific for the 6600 which is the full version. I downloaded it a couple of days ago and it's OK.

The Opera program is locked to the IMEI number of the phone. Take it to nokia service center and they will give you a code. Or just contact them.

Why dont you try putting your 32mb card in a card reader, opening "System" then "apps" then copy and pasting the Opera file to your desktop.

Format your 256mb card in your phone then open it with your card reader, and go to the "System" file and if there is a folder called apps, drag it into there. If there isn't a folder called "apps", I would create one in there, incase then drag across.

Let me know if this works.

Hi jst download opera on ph memory then chng card n then again downld opera bt sv on new mmc . It may be work !

Hi!

Cant be so hard. Just backup your original Nokia MMC card with PC Suite. Take a card away and put the new in. Then just restore using PC Suite. Huh? 😊

Mine doesn't come with Opera ... ;(e I tried downloading from their website and got the trial version instead.. what should I do?

I have the same problem. I'm in Canada, so the 6600 isn't supported by Nokia here...don't know who to call for a code...Nokia USA gave me the European number....

I emailed Opera support but I doubt they will help.

Is there a kind European (anywhere the phone is released officially) willing to call Nokia support, give them my IMEI and get my code for me? 😞 😕

This may help Europe users .....

1) Keep the original 32MB MMC in the phone with Opera installed.
2) Download EUR 6600 version of from Opera.com
3) Install via PC suite
- PC suite will ask to uninstall existing Opera (from MMC)
- Say 'yes' and install new version to phone memory.
- assumption here is that it needs to see the original Opera on the phone and validate any keys.
4) Check Opera - runs OK.
5) Swap 32MB MMC for 128MB.
6) Check Opera again - runs OK.

Not sure how to tell whether it's a trial version or the real thing (tried About Opera) but it looks OK so far.

Hope this is useful for others.

PS. Not sure if there's any need to reformat the 128MB MMC? Seems that it's readable or gets auto-formatted on the 6600 when first inserted.
