Can I use O2 WAP to download POP3 Email?

Is it possible to use O2 WAP (Which is free on my call plan) to download email from my BTInternet POP3 account? I know I can check via BT's WAP site but it's a pain.

If the answer is no, would it be possible to set the phone to automatically check/download my mail via 02 GPRS every few hours?

I think the answer is no on both counts as the O2 WAP service is restricted to WAP data alone. I certainly can't find a way to do it on my 9210. (My 7650 *SHOULD* arrive tomorrow, cant wait!)

Accessing your e-mail over WAP would probably not work, though you could possibly try a Midlet e-mail viewer. That might work, just pop over to www.midletcentral.com or www.midlet.org for some ideas.

As for auto retrieval, hang five because Cibenix are about to release active mail for the 7650 and that should do the job for you just dandy. Visit www.cibenix.com for details.

I hope this helps.
