Nokia 6600 - stereo sound & radio

hi!

i have a Nokia 6600 and would like to play MP3s on my phone using the MP3Go. i realise that it will be played in mono but is there a software or hardware available whereby i can hear the music in stereo. Also is it possible to get software for listening to the local radio without connecting to the net? Here in Bahrain this phone isn't configured for WAP only GPRS. But GPRS is only available to GSM customers and not prepaid. I have inquired witht the network provider - Batelco but they say its the dealers problem and they too say only GPRS. Y?? i do hope someone will reply. Thanks in advance!

It's not about software. It's a hardware (technical) issue.U cannot make Nokia 6600 through software to be stereo.
If u want stereo buy 7600.
Bye

what is 7600 ?

Obviously there' s a difference between stereo and mono...stereo enables clearer sound to b heard over the earpiece, and it's more consistent...mono is not as good...
However, 7600 isn't quite a good phone...it's not symbian, which cripples u to not have many nice softwares to have on yr handphone, and it's a little bit squarish...

or the Siemens SX1 has stereo mp3 and Symbian 6.1, and available December 2003.

A question which has long been on my mind- These series 60 stereo mp3 phones have preset equalizers? or is there a third party app for this?

where can i get the mp3go
is there a web page available???

please reply!

i would better suggest u to buy a handsfree with attached MP3 player and Fm radio that costs 59.99 only .......try that instead of puttin anythin new in to ur mobile taht literally affects many functions .............

is there any way i can download software off the net and send it to my 6600 through the bluetooth or infa red e mail me at thanks

hey guys, is there any possibility that we can use ngage speaker and plug it in the 6600. ngage speaker is better than 6600. shouldn't be any issue right except this will void the warranty 😡

Its not just the speaker that makes it stereo, there needs to be at least two and all the circuits and interface is different.

Buy a new phone or a walkman 😃

hello mate.... dats a matter of hardware and not software .... it would be better if u buy a headset with FM in it.... then too u could listen only to the radio and at present its an impossible deal to install Mp3 player in 6600.. try out the new one 6230 in the market , excellent features it does carry..

Actually, the closest thing to a Nokia 6600 which has stereo mp3 capability is the 6620. I love my phone for offering this feature.

Ive tried it already, and it makes only a Very marginal difference,if anything at all. 😡

The N gage has a higher output.

btw the n gage is still really loud with the 6600 speaker!
