Nokia 7650 ICQ

I am very much in your same position. I tried using a program called QSM, however it never seemed to work. I don't know quite frankly if this is due to the serious problems the jabber servers have had over the past few weeks or not (QSM uses jabber). If anyone has any luck with this program please tell me, and tell me what you did to make it work too!!! Thanks

Well, last week QSM didn't work at all, right now it is "retrieving buddy list", it's an improvement, but I don't know if it will work...

A new beta version of IM+ for Nokia 7650 is available since 26.8
We are urgently looking for beta-testers.
IM+ uses a direct connection to ICQ and AOL servers, which allows faster speeds in chatting.
IM+ for Nokia 7650 will have the same features as IM+ 2.1.12 for Nokia 9210, in the available beta version some of features are not supported yet:
- MSN and Jabber support
- Encrypted messages
IM+ for 7650 is programmed in C++.

I'm one of the BETA tester and I can't get it working!!, Who else is using it?

There may be space for another BETA tester for this as I have now dropped out.

After an email to the company I was given no help at all. So I told them where to go.

Erm, the thought didn't occur to you that as the product is in beta that it may not work? From what I see by your posts is that you signed up to get the software for nowt under beta and now you are annoyed at having a beta quality product.

its working pretty fine for me. my ICQ# is 67840545. Any other beta tester care to provide icq for exchanging idea while testing. Happy ICQ.

I believe that There is going to be an MSM product offering for either p800 or Nokia 7650, I didnt really look into it much as time was very tight at the time, so i have no tech details. not ICQ, but might be of interest for you.

It's working fine for me too.

From their website, it is stated if you are one of the top bugs submitters, you will get a licensed copy once the production copy is released. Regret to say that the beta version works fine for me and I've no bugs to report for the time being. Looks like I need to purchase a copy after all.

Anyway, it's a cool product. Keep it up.

Don't quite know what you mean but if you ment MSN messenger, IM+ will support them 2.

I'll probably be a customer since I'm looking forward to seeing this at work.

I may not have likes the T&C for the beta, but a good piece of software is a good piece of software and developers need to eat as well!

I just hope the demo version won't be too crippled so that I can give it a good running before I decide to buy.

IM+ for 7650 will support MSN, but not in this version. (IM+ will support MSN in the next version... so... please, wait for some time....)

What is T&C?

No I understand, that It will have bugs that's why there testing it. I signed up because I wanted to see how the program worked ect.

When I couldn't get it started, I e-mailed the company and asked for a few suggestions. They really weren't much help. So I got pissed off with it and went off in a mardy. Nevermind.

Yeah Thats right - I wasnt sure which smart phone it is though.
