User installable firmware updates?

In Mobileburn's article on Sendo X it says that it looks like it will support user installable firmware updates?

Can anyone confirm this, I love Nokia but fed up of having to drive 25 miles to a service centre. And as the Sendox X is based on Nokia Series 60 I think I could learn to like it.

This is also a feature of all Siemens phones...
And SX1...

Glad to hear that Sendo is going to do the same...😊

I haven't looked too much into the SX1 as it has a silly keyboard, you think they would have seen what happened to Nokia with the 3650 - noting that they have now released at 3660 with standard keyboard.

The more I read about this phone, the more I love it 😊

I can't wait.
Hope it comes out for T-MobileUK soon as I have a free upgrade waiting to be utilised 😉

😊
😊

This kind of updates is also available for SE P900 users, so I think this in not a Symbian issue. Seems more like a Nokia thing...
