ok SIS file was created..

But you can create SIS file only from NEW Themes..

You can't create SIS from any EDITED Theme...

it's like a copy protection may be..

cya!

😎

Hey..i can't seem to create my own .sis file.. this is the error i got...

MAKING DESCRIPTOR FILE SUCCESS
MAKING SKIN PACKAGE

C:\Program Files\Theme Studio\bin>echo off
CREATING SKIN FILES
FAILED while executing skin descriptor compiler

The reason theme editor doesnt create sis files is because on some PCs global environmental variables dont work very well..

The sollution to this is to replace your createskin.bat file (in bin directory) with this (considering u installed into default directory)

REM echo off
REM #################################################################
REM #USAGE: #
REM # createskin <source_dir> <dest_dir> <skin_name> #
REM # #
REM # <source_dir> The directory containing the bitmaps,skin #
REM # binary and text files are present. #
REM # <dest_dir> The absolute directory where the generated #
REM # SIS package has to be stored. #
REM # <skin_name> The name of the generated skin file (sis file)#
REM # <screensaver>The absolute path of the screen saver file #
REM # <scrnsvrname>The name of the screen saver(sis file) #
REM # <scrnsvruid> The uid of the attached screen saver #
REM # #
REM #################################################################

echo on

pushd %1

echo CREATING SKIN FILES
"C:\Program Files\Theme Studio\bin\aknskindesccompiler.exe" "%3.txt" "%3"
if not errorlevel 1 goto bmconvstep
echo FAILED while executing skin descriptor compiler
goto end

:bmconvstep
echo CREATING MULTI BITMAP FILE
echo /p"C:\Program Files\Theme Studio\bin\thirdpartybitmap.pal" > "%3_MBMList_mod.txt"
type "%3_MBMList.txt" >> "%3_MBMList_mod.txt"
"C:\Program Files\Theme Studio\bin\bmconv.exe" "%3_MBMList_mod.txt"
if not errorlevel 1 goto scrstep
echo FAILED while executing bmconv. Check if any of the picture is 16 bit type or having alpha channel.
goto end

:scrstep
echo WRITING SCREEN SAVER DETAILS
if "%5"=="" goto sisstep
if "%6"=="" goto sisstep

rem copy the screen saver to the local directory
copy %4 .

rem screen saver details should be inserted into the pkg file
rem example: '@"bounceSaver.SIS",(0x1000599C)'
echo @"%5",(%6) >> "%3.pkg"

:sisstep
echo CREATING THE SIS PACKAGE
"C:\Program Files\Theme Studio\bin\makesis.exe" "%3.pkg" "%3.sis"
if not errorlevel 1 goto copystep
echo FAILED while executing makesis.
goto end

:copystep
copy "%3.sis" %2\

:end
popd

wow... mm.. don't really get wut u mean.. hehe...
there's no makesis.bat file.....but there's makesis.exe file

Mines just created a sis no problem.
Read here after downloading it didn't, so only made a small change so far before I tried making a sis, but it's worked for me. Haven't put it to phone yet though.

Am using XP PRO, Intel P4 2.8, 1 gig ram, running program in Win2000 mode as stated.

Gonna keep playing around.
