film-like circuit wearz out *sigh*

Got this similar problem again...

Every time I open my communicator, the LCD screen of my 9210 will flicker with lines and some buttons on the side will not functionin' anymore. In order to solve this irritating problem, I should position the opening of my communicator interface to the tilt of 90 degrees or in such a way when the screen is not flickering anymore. This has happened already after 1 yr of using my 9110 then again it's happening now on my 9210 after 1 yr of using too.

Maybe y'know already what causes the screen to flicker and its the film-like circuit that connects the phone&screen interface to the other side of the phone. Is it really normal that the film-like circuit wires (I just dunno the technical term) connecting the phone&screen interface to the other side of the phone (CPU?) does not last? You mean it naturally wears out because of close-open mechanism? Should I spend for replacing this stupid thing every 6 months or every year? *Sigh* Wonder if Nokia could improve their hardware and circuit design.

well... this is a normal prob that we communicator user gotta experience once a while... hehehehe... i replaced the ribbon 3 times for my previous 9110 (i was a real hardcore user that time...) and already did once for the 9210... (nothin wrong with my 9210 actually, i just replaced it few days before the warranty ends...)

it happened on me before when i used a 9110.

a lesson i learned is not to open fully your unit. just halfway.

so far my 9210i is ok.

it's not a proven measure, just try...
