bluetooth accessories for 7650 any testing yet??

Only the MSI Bluetooth Transceiving Key I have use. And it is so cool. Wonder if Nokia gonna come out the Bluetooth handsfree earpiece just like the motorola or ericcesson's

Only when Nokia decide to give us an upgrade wit the BT voice profiles :cry:

I dont know if this is a hardware or a software issue,but nokia 7650 does not support the bluetooth audio profile.

Nokia will be launching a bluetooth handfree kit soon... so I suspect they will make sure all their bluetooth mobile will be able to use it.... Please give us a firmware upgrade Nokia!!!!

btw, yesterday, i talked to a nokia academy person, he said that, 7650's won't be supporting bluetooth headset profile, and even with a firmware upgrade, it won't be posibble, becaus, the chip doens't support the headset profile..

It is true that the N7650 can never truly support Audio Bluetooth.

However... I was privvy to the viewing of a small gadget which attaches to the top of the phone where the headphone socket is. The gadget itself contains an Audio Bluetooth chip which transmits to an earpiece.

The gadget still has teething problems, Mainly battery life and the fact it currently does not support remote answer/reject (although it will). It sadly won't allow voice dialling as the nokia headphone jack does not contain the relevant technology.

It is not being designed to carry in your pocket, rather the briefcase or the boot of the car or whatever. Basically hide the phone but still be able to use it.

I'm afraid I can't name the company, no price is set, and I don't know when they will finish testing, but at a push I reckon middle of next year, and about �120.

I thought one could buy a motorolla or sony ericson bluetooth accessory and work on any make and model. True or false??

That would be false,it depends on the features of the bluetooth chipset integrated in the device,ex:the nokia 7650 bluetooth chip does not support the audio profile or it cannot be used as a client with other bluetoot device in the DUN bluetooth profile,server only,which realy disappointed our little group of enthusiasts beacause we were trying to design an app the will remotely dial the bluetooth connected pc's modem and enable internet sharing between the PC and the N7650 using the PC as a gateway ofcourse.
