Read my post in the main 6600 forum for an answer (Finally) to all this.
😊
Still cant use text tho!
operator logo
Ok, I have a real cool op logo that I want to use, but it has a black background. Is there anyway to make the background transparent so that I can use it with other themes that aren't black?
Hello Darla, (long time no hear lol)
No,unfortunately is the answer to that, the best you can do is cut out the parts you want, and copy and paste onto a blank op logo that matches "exactly" the theme you are using, but then it will need changing again when you change themes,This is easily done BUT only if you have the blank op logo for the theme.
Its quite a lot of messing about really but obviously up to you!

GGGGRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!! Lol
I have changed my op logo by using SeleQ, but now I can not use other themes with out the previous op logo intervening like an ugly blog. I want to have my operator text back, the one that appears like "Turkcell", or "PROXIMUS" and such that keeps on changing as you change simcards. What ever, so could any body tell me how to reset back to the original operator text. I want to remove my logo.
BTW, deleting the op logo fom "C:" DOES NOT WORK.
Thanks to anyone in advance for any solution they might offer...

It should work if you restart your phone after deleting it. 😊
Make sure you delete it from E: too if it exists there as well.

Hi, think the name of my Operator is written in plain text exactly in the place where the Operator Logo should be...
When I change themes, the text change it's colors and the background is the color of the theme...
If I put an Operator Logo, the text goes away, if remove, the Operator name returns...
Is it really the name of my Operator or is it the name of the network I am using??
Can I change this text to my name??

Just delete the existing .BMP logo.

99% of the text colours can be changed when creating a theme.
You can put your name in by making a blank op logo (97x25) of the theme you are using and just inserting text over it using a paint program and set this image as op logo using a file explorer.
Its the name of the network you are using NOT your operator,ie it will change when going abroad etc.
it is impossible to get a clear logo/ text on a clear background.
This is becasue .bmp format pictures do not support transparency/alpha layers.
A format that does is .gif
i hope this helps

My Top Tip for an invisible operator logo on your N73!
For my version of the Transparent Operator Logo for use with ANY THEME on your Nokia N73 (other phones not tested) go to this URL:-
www.free-ringtones-free-logos.com (this site only works with NOKIA phones in the UK!!)
Use the search box to find "BlankOpLogoN73" (without quotes) and follow the on screen prompts, this will basically cost you the price of a normal text.
If you can't find my "BlankOpLogoN73", don't worry, simply create your own using the Logo Creator and turn the whole thing black!, this logo creator is only really for old screen types not colour screens, but the effect is perfect!....try it and see what you think 😊
My phones to date:- Motorola SLVR7, Samsung T100, SPV C500, XDAII, Nokia 6210 (old faithful), Nokia N-GageQD & currently my Nokia N73.
Nokia N73
V 4.0723.2.0.1 (latest firmware)

Told ya!, rep required
It's a fact on my n70, changing the default oplogo with the blank one leaks my ram from 30mb to 26mb in one night without other apps. running and without other third party same processes from boot up. This happens both when I change the logo with fexplorer and when I copy the blank logo in the phone folder which by the way fexplorer knows to create it, on n70 the folder doesn't exist. This happened everytime I tested this. The hard format solves this but I don't know if it is a must do.
Hi guys
Anisymbia - the software needed for displaying colour operator logos on your phone, go to the link below, about a third of the way down that page *which is an Italian Website) there is a Union Jack icon to see it all in English language.
http://www.jaspp.net/2007/02/logo-operatore-su-3rd/
I posted about this sometime ago on Nokia Forums, mmcforums, 4urmobilephone and many more......there are plenty of tutorials scattered around the internet, on how to create your own colour op logos for use with Anisymbia.
There are 5 small apps to download, these are all needed to make the colour logos display/animate, they are as follows:-
We need:
Python per 3rd Edition
Python Shell per 3rd Edition
AppSwitch per 3rd Edition
AniSimb per 3rd (thanks to Saxen for help)
FGImage per 3rd
Good Luck
