OK here's the rundown, i love my n-gage and all its funtions, i think it's one of the best machines (or tools or entertainment systems!) to grace gods green earth. I signed myself up with telstra on a plan (because i didn't have the money to buy it outright) for 35 bucks a month for 2 YEARS! and now i'm hearing about this n-gage 2 crap! what the hell are nokia trying to do??!! Will the n-gage become extinct once this "n-gage 2" comes out? Will they stop making games for my beloved gage? If this n-gage 2 thing is really coming out and isn't just a bunch of crap then nokia have screwed me and so many other people. Can someone please verify all the details with me cause i'm fully stressing out!😕

The best guess is N-Gage mk 2 will be physical changes, with no changes to the OS or underlying hardware. So yes there may be a new model (hey it happens in every IT sector!) but the MMC Games will continue to run on either device (much like teh GBA and GBA SP).

My bet is that N-Gage "mk II" is just a refined N-Gage, maybe little smaller, with hot swap MMC and side talking' feature removed. That would make sense. Unlike releasing a completely new N-Gage that runs different games. Maybe in 2005/2006 we will see a true N-Gage 2 or whatever its called. Just guessing of course!
I'm not sure if nokia will wait that long, i mean by 2005 the psp and maybe even the advanced advance will be out-it would be like having a ps1 against an xbox.

Maybe this "N-Gage 2" will include Symbian OS 7.0s and S60 v2.0 to add support for themes, and then perhaps each game MMC will include a theme relating to the game to give the effect of "more value for money".
I wud of thought it will be 65,000 colours as well. But then again Nokia always take 1 step forward and 2 steps backward. Itll probably end up three times the size.
Yeah. The only problem though is that some older games which directly draw to the screen may not work correctly on a screen with a higher colour palette (e.g. Splinter Cell).
Which is the problem that alot of 6600 owners found when they used N-Gage games on there fone.
Serves them right IMO. If they wanted to play games on their phone they should've got the N-Gage.

There are rumors about GBE (Game Boy Enhanced) that will not be only compatible with GB/GBC/GBA games but also GC(GameCube).
It will be quite big (For all the Video Game elders it is smaller than Sega's Nomad), so I don't thing it will be competing not only with the N-Gage but also the others (Zodiac,GBA or even the PSP).

Hopefully one of the new consoles out soon will have pressure sensitive pads. : crossed fingers : Itd be amazin on games like sega rally etc.
