If you use wav files as ringtone...

...may I recommend that you convert it into amr files using this utility:

A 135k wav file is equivalent to 11.3k amr file, which is good news considering that we only have 3.6MB to play with.

but then having thought about it, maybe it is worth converting amr to wav, which is also supported by the programme. I say this because wav file does not suffer the problem with soft sound when it is actually used as ringtone.

I mean, I am using a police siren wav file as my ringtone to warn me of potential "unwelcomed" calls, and it IS lound. Just as loud as the preview, unlike amr files.

I tried to convert a small part of a song from a good quality 130K wav to amr using this utility... it was a disaster! I couldn't tell what I was listening to!

A disaster? It was alright on my phone. It didn't work so well for the T68 however... in fact, it is cr@p on the T68.

And yes, it would be great if we could use mp3 as ringtone...
