new series 60 handset from nokia coming at cebit 2004

what an almost cool loooking phone and an even worst picture

any details so far?

hope its as good as sendo(and beetter)

Right now I learn more information about this phone. The photo is taken with 7650 they say, so because it is poor quality (they should use normal digital camera) and they wrote that maybe it is a 6600 succesor. It has the same platform as 6600 (now) and they said it freezes a lot, because it is a prototype. So if they fix the problems that will be a fantastic phone. I hope they change the design especially of the keyboard.

I think its just because of the curved red stripe but I was wondering if this phone is designed to have a portrait and landscape mode? This would be a logical enhancement to the Series 60 UI. It means you could use it like a normal Series 60 for phonecalls but turn it sideways for games 😃

The SX1 has great potential for playing games in landscape mode.The keys and the joystick are well placed,i wonder if someone played doom in landscape mode on it but you are talking about the whole UI being in landscape mode,right?

Do i see a USB or maybe a pop port down there?

Looks interesting - it s about the right size and shape for Series 60 but the picture so bad you can't even read the Nokia logo (which seems to be in the wrong place).

Still funky keyboard designs are a S60 speciality....

If anyone can come up with a better picture I'll put something on the front page, but honestly that coudl be almost anything!

I was suggesting a landscspe option for UIQ I think it could be useful.

Yes it seems to be a pop port. After all The 6620 allready has one...

The one important thing that I cannot see (and I hope it is of the bad quality picture) is the hot swappable MMC slot (maybe it is even worst not even being able to get Memory Cards...).

Model Number?? It looks like a FAKE to me so far.I have to admit tought that the desing looks pretty much like the 7600, and It looks that It comes witha POP-Port.I don't know... I'll wait for more serious news..

I've heard it too,but i really don't believe it is true.The Communicator is a business style device,this looks just like another Nokia fashion phone.
