In order to update your phone first you need to have the battery fully charged.
Run the updater and when the program asks you to connect the phone:

a.Turn off the phone
b. Turn it on BY PRESSING THE JOYSTICK AND THE HANG OFF BUTTON AT THE SAME TIME (this way it turns on in update mode)
c.Connect the phone

Windows will ask for (the special update) drivers. Select the folder in which is the updater executable (this is where the drivers are extracted after running the update program). After windows recognising the phone the update (devided in 4 parts) will take less than 15minutes. Don't do anything during the process of updating like running other apps on the computer, just wait patiently...

If you go to a Siemens Service Center and ask them politely to upgrade your phone with a different language firmware version they may help you. The latest firmware on the SSCs is fw07. It is rumored that siemens will upload the self update of this version on the internet soon, so may not have to wait too long...
