you can change those colours, and i'd give you more info on that but i'm on a computer without the nokia editor at the moment. But you can deffinately do it.

He knows it can be done,
And i have said how to do it,it just isnt happening for him!😊

Does anyone know about the icon thing?

Has anyone tried changing ALL the icon's and seeing if they are not named correctly?

Also, I've seen theme's created with the microforum one that has the bottom section different on the menu screen so which bit do you change for that section? The idle screen is obvious cos it's a certain size but there isn't another template the same size for the menu etc.. or is there?

Yes its called the "CONTROL AREA" in the areas section Gary!

in the nokia one maybe but i asked about the microforum one! non of the sizes match up but you must be able to do it cos i've seen themes created with it.

Also how do you change the date colour? this also must be able to be done as people have created themes with different colours!

Hi mate, Ive put my order in for the microforum theme editor as Im getting fed up with how restrictive the nokia one is. Elton told me how to change certain parts of the theme but I cant seem to get it to work. Is the microforum one any better?

I thought you meant Theme studio,I cant comment on microforum as i obviously use theme studio which i have no problems with!

Has anyone that has problems with it tried re installing coz when i first used it occasionally it wouldnt save edited sections so i re installed and it has been fine ever since!

Also it was definately much quicker the second time,as if it didnt have so much to think about,it now only takes about 5 secs to update the preview which i think is the main cause for the speed issue!

But you can't do the icon's properly with that one can you? Certain one's don't work, unless you've sussed it out.

I'd like to create a full theme with icons an all. Surely you can do it cos others have. Either that or the themes with icons are created using the microforum one and they all have the same bottom section.

1. Change the colour of the date in the middle.
2. Change the bottom section when it's in menu view (which you can do with the nokia one)

Saying that, the nokia one has a major flaw in that there seems to be a problem with the icons and when you view your theme some of the icons don't show on the phone!

If you read my gripes with each one you'll see why you can't do a full theme with either. Unless someone would like to share the info with us.

Have you tried (copy originals first) editing the base grafics in Program files/theme studio/data/skins dir?
I know this is a pain but good for icons (depending on how many sets you intend on making).

I've tried editing the existing icons and batt/signal etc but when you try to put them back in the white part isnt transparent anymore, do you have a good icon editor program that might help elton?

I've just got the signal icon to change sort of how I wanted it to, thanks elton, if you could let me know a good icon creator to get hold of though that would be great, cheers

Sorry mate i dont do icons,
There are so many good icons out there already so i just select these to my themes,(coz its too easy i guess lol).

Keep up the good work icon makers,and hurry up Tel,coz i wanna use yours lol.😊

ps: You say it doesnt remain transparent anymore,did you edit the mask?

I like the lazy idea, where do you get your icons from? and yes I've just sussed the mask thing. Once I've done some decent icons I'll send you some ok, lol,

Ketix or Underworld icons are the best so far!

I downloaded the microforums editor, but when I try to open it, it says out of memory. What am I doing wrong. I want to create a VW theme, using the touran or Caravelle, as the background, and have the VW badge as the clock. Not too bothered about the icons, just want to have a different VW theme that means something to me.

You could always download the one thats been made already and set your pic as wallpaper,i know its not the same but it meets all your requirements above!

So whats the best site to get free themes from then?

Just another quick question though on the symbian theme upload site how do you get a jpg image of your theme, I've looked in the folder of the theme but cant seem to find one, they're all bmp

Open the image you have with "Paint" then click "save as" and change setting to jpeg.😊
