I think it's miles more reliable than the one on the 7110, that just kept falling off time after time!
I was wondering that just this morning... I've had mine about 6 weeks and already it is starting to feel quite 'loose' and a tad wobbly! Same goes, too, for the top section (where the sim goes) - no longer seems to fit closely.
Grrrreat....

My 7110 slider has been opened and closed 0x2a93 times (you do the math 😊 according to the Netmonitor and it's almost like the first day.
My 7110 slider has been opened countless times in over 2 years and is still quite firm. My less than a month old 7650 though has already started becoming loose. The sim cover is not very firm and what's worse, the two halves have started "moving" back and foth a bit, first when it was open and now event when it's closed 😞
The movement is not much but it is quite annoying. I intend to have it checked soon, I just can't get used to the idea of leaving it at the service centre for a few days..

same here... only the netmonitor says 003FC8... more than yours!! heheh :P 8) :P 8) :P
IMHO the feeling of the "slide" of 7650 is worse than 7110. It seems "loose" since the 2nd time I opened it
hrmm just to clear up when you say loose, you mean loose as in, might move a mm dont you? I mean realistically you cant expect mass produced plastic to stay firm time after time, and a mm aint nothing to worry about
just take it in for a tighten and a service before ya warranty runs out and youll be right 😊
I hope...
I noticed mine when I hold it open sometimes feels a lil loose, by like a mm or so just very very ever so slightly loose so I dunno hope it all stays together 😊
I took mine to the local NOKIA service center. They told me the little "movement" is due to either a fall to the floor or too much pressure.. They wouldn't repait it under warranty, but the didn't know the price of the replacement part at the moment either. I am expecting a call from them to let me know about the cost..
Umm... how do they know this ? Sounds like a cheap cop-out to me. Neatly transfer it from a manufacturing weakness to a customer-at-fault situation, and make you pay...
Just as a test, ask them this: how do they *know* the problem is a drop or 'excess pressure' ? If someone walked in just after you with a loose slide due to poor build quality from the factory, how would they know the difference between your problem and his ? If, as one suspects, they have no way of making the distinction, what that tells you is that they routinely blame the customer rather than the build, in every situation.
