Wirelessly posted (Rafe Mobile: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1) Opera 7.21 [en])

The have updated the wap version of the forum so that it works with vBulletin3. Wap forum is at http://wap.allaboutsymbian.com/forum/

it's like renaissance of the AAS forums 😊 thanx for everything Rafe, everyhing is great... 😎

New Smilies added. Enjoy!

Below are a few of them.

 :boring: :argh:  :creep:

I don't like the new layout. Old layout where the author information was in left column and message text in right column was much better. Now they are all in one column mixed totally. That makes too much empty space between message text and thus it is much harder to read threads.

Test 😊

Test 2. WAP forum looks great 😊

Don't worry there'll be a version with the author info (the postbit is its vB name apparently) on the side very soon. It'll be something you can switch over as you wish. I'll probably make the old style the default since most people seem to prefer it. I originally did, but now like the new one.

Rafe

Nice to know the new version works in both Opera and Internet on the P900 (hadn't tested that yet!).

Rafe

and Rafe, about this reputation thing, maybe you can make stg to show public people's reputations. i can only see my own reputation. maybe some stars or some names like novice, pro, superuser, hyperuser 😊 etc. etc. can show people's reputations to all forum users...

Test! 😊 cool biscuits!!

Some more additions.

There's a couple of new style including one called AAS Side. This will change the user info area on each post to the side (rather than above) like on the old forum. This should address readability and large avatar problems (for those that have had them).

If you want to sydicate AAS forums (include on your own website via javascripts, or in your RSS feed reader) look at http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum/composeexternal.php
This is in addition to the RSS feeds here:
http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/rss/forum/

I've also added some View post from last day, last 3 days, last 7 days and last 30 days to the drop down menu of search in the navbar (for Ghostdog 😉).

And finally check out this post, especially if you're a waffler - http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum//forum/thread/21699/#post162662#post162662.
