EMS: How do create .OTA Documents?

4 replies · 4,998 views · Started 04 April 2004

Just received an EMS from a Nokia 6600 on my SX1. It displays it perfectly and also lets me save the Picturemessage. The Picture gets saved to:

c:\Nokia\Images\Pictures

It says Bildmitteilung.OTA ( = German meaning Picturemessage )

I can also now write an SMS and insert that Picture. I tried uploading tiny BMPs which work on other Siemens Phones for EMS but the SX1 does not recognize these :frown:

Any idea how to create .OTA Files? Or where to grab .OTA Files from the web?

Just use LogoManager on PC to convert the files you want to OTA...
The converted files must be placed then in c:\Nokia\Images\Pictures\ in your phone in order for you to be able to insert them as pictures...

Forgot to thank you. It works perfectly!

I find it kinda sad that Siemens does not provide any Picture Messages right from the start.

Eh, Please do not ask illegal stuff in this forum. If you like the app, buy it...
