nokia support in canada? (for non-north american models)

I also have been unable to get my 6600 updated in Ontario. So far no luck. You should maybe do a search on http://www.howardforums.com, you might be able to find somebody there that will do it for you.

i just need a question answered urgently..i bought a N6600 this summer 2004 from the emirates and im coming back to canada soon. Just wanted to make sure, where did u guys get yours from? and did you have any problems using the phone with canadian GSM providers ? i am on telus currently, but i will switch to fido since telus does not support GSM.

I got my 6600 from Saudi Arabia and it works fine here in Canada. I just place my fido sim card and it works perfectly fine.
If you don't mind me asking, where in Canada will you be going?

lol...i was in saudi arabia too, dhahran to be exact. but i couldnt find the phone for less than 1550 SR so i got it from UAE for 1200 Dhs 😊

Anyways if it's no problem for you I was wondering if you could buy an original grey cover for the 6600, like this to be exact http://ner.pl/im/nokia/6600_b.jpg . If you can't find an original one then just any cover that looks like that. I'll be paying you back (of course 😉). Let me know if you can. Thanks.
