Monthly MMS Chanrge?

I am planning to update my phone to a 7650 in the next week.

I am planning to do this at a carphone warehouse. I am using Orange at the mo. To upgrade to the same contract I think it will cost 130 - (as I get 20 cash back for my old headset and I have a 70 voucher from them).

Is there not some 20 monthly charge for using the MMS service too? Is this compulsory? What does the service provide (quantites too)?

THanks - I am in the UK

T-Mobile UK charge 20 a month for a 10mb allowance. How many MMS' this will buy you depends on what content you buy.

Orange charge 40p per message, although you can send one message to 5 people and oly be charged 40p as long as they are all sent the same message, at one time. (According to T-Mobile Rep, although he said Orange opporate the same system.)

But If i didnt get MMS, I could text as normal, and send my pics my email yes?

Yup, Orange are 40p per MMS message.

On a similar note Orange allow you to buy chunks of GPRS memory, I forget the actual tarifs but the bigger you buy the cheaper it gets (per MB).

Hey steve - similar history - I bought a 7110 in March 2000, and am buying a 7650 this month!!

Hi Pete 😊

Spooky coincidence eh? Actually I think alot of UK 7650 early adopters upgraded from 7110's at least that's the impression I get from reading forums like ER6 and similar.

hi

now i'm using vodafone but how can i send MMS from my 7650 i have set the access point for MMS which is VF PXT already installed in my phone but then i still can't use the service

also do i need to activate the GPRS to use the MMS service ??

thxxx

i thought vodaphone doen't support mms yet so it can't be done even if you have gprs enabled.
