I have searched, but not found this problem listed anywhere. Using Opera with my P900, I keep getting low memory warnings. Naffing me off as I have a 128MB memory stick in place, with less than 10MB of stuff stored on it! Anyone encountered this?
P900 Memory problems
the problem with the Px00 phones is the low memory avaiable, as many applications coming demanding more memory.
the problem is not in your MS Duo, as the phone uses the internal (not the external) memory to work with applications running, therefore, you'll have to uninstall all the applications that you've isntalled on C drive and shift them to the D drive which will get you alot or room for handling your software, and you'll also notice a better performance on your phone!
Thanks for taking the time to reply. In general I had installed all programs to the memory card as standard. I cleaned up the phone memory last night, I've managed to get it up to 7.5MB free memory. See if that helps or not. I also use Handy Day 2004 to close all programs still open in the background. Don't think I can do more than that......
That should certainly help. It might also be worth checking your cache and history settings within Opera, just to make sure you're not filling up the memory during a long session on the web by storing all the pages you have visited so far!

Which low message warning are you getting? Is it storage space (user data) or RAM?
I've had the same problem. Every time the available internal memory drops below 9.0Mb I cannot write any notes, messages, appointments etc. I've taken off Opera completely and keep clearing out my messages but it still bounces me out. I've got a 128Mb stick which contains all the music, pictures, and heavy files but still no good. HELP !
Hi Not sure this is what you are looking for but check out a freeware app called switcher (www.ki-ag.de)
It closes applications and frees up memory I have used for sometime and it appears trouble free

i got the same problem trying to start BugMe. i only had 3 apps runnig at the time! not vey good. all my apps have been installed on the mem card. 😞
ive had KERN error number 3 a few times recently! is that a mem error too?
i dont get how the phone uses the stated internal mem, wot you can store stuff in, for processing space too? should it use a different type of mem for that? ie: normal ram for processing and then flash ram/eeprom for storing stuff
had quite a few end of list errors yesterday. rebooted, and none since. dirty processes? 😮
😮 only 2.5M mem left (ram) -is it poss to upgrade the ram on the 900. a nice fat 64M! 😊
The P910 has more RAM😊 Not possible to upgrade the P900.
But won't the ram increase when you close some apps? Or am I completely off now?
pitty - sure it will, but ive only got the basics running
