This is my first day in this forum and I'm not used to english, so.. sorry.
I have sx1 with Fw 7. 3 weeks ago, I installed some aplications from my 128 mmc. Everything right. Suddenly, 2 days after, it said, no memory, but in c: I had 2 M. So I tried all de formatting ways (after backup in mmc and security copy in pc). And nothing works, only radio, and after 2 hours even messages doesn't work, all this, whith nothing in phone. So may phone s crazy or I erased a system folder?b Whith Seleq and appman I can see I've between 50 and 200 free kb, but the phone is empty!!! So even camara I can't use at all.
Then I tried to update thinking it would erase everything and reinstall... but when I push joystick and on (like I did before) nothing happens. Even worse, cause I've to take out battery and put it back to get it on, but whith the sad free 200 kb. So I paid 600E and I can only call :frown:
Please, help. May be I've only to reinstall a folder? Do you know Why I can't update?

Do a format of the phone. That should clear up any used space and give a "virgin" SX-1 once again.
WARNING: When formatting you will lose EVERY PERSONAL SETTINGS on the phone, including Contacts, Ringtones, etc.
Formating the SX1 ( with FW 7 ):
1. Turn off the phone
2. Press "*" & "#" when you turn on the phone
3. A progress bar will appear at the top of the screen, it will some time, so make sure that your battery is charged - DO NOT INTERRUPT the formatting!

The strange thing is that you cannot update the firmware and the only sollution that comes to my mind is to send it to your nearest service center.
On the other side I believe that the no memmory message is refering to RAM and not storage memmory. Also notice that even after a format/hard reset of the phone some system applications installed in the MMC still load when you turn the phone on.
So I advise you to either try to boot the phone without the MMC or in safe mode (turn it on with the shift key/the one with the up arrow pressed) so no third party app will be loaded.

I've been looking all over for the format codes, and couldn't find them. Now I don't have to go to the service center!
