Open standard - possibility to download third-party applications ...
Like what? Same as 9210 runs? That would be cool... alltought there's only 4MB

I think 4Mb is quite enough providing you have all the basic Apps (and a browser) already loaded.
I have a revo+ (16Mb) but with only like 9Mb all together - and most of it is junk anyway. This is a smartphone, not a PDA - it is the ULTIMATE (to date) organizer - this can EASILY take over palm share - to view contacts and a calendar, this is brilliant.
I'm inclined to agree. If you want a phone that you want to add loads of custom applications to you get a 9210. That said with no expansion it wouldn't have hurt to have 8mb internal memoery.. with your contacts and agenda and photos stored on it there might not be a whole load of room left.
I am preparing a shiny new feature of the new phone. How many people are interested and our people prepared for the fact that this website is a multiple Symbian device website not just 9210.

In answer to JeP - you wont be able to run 9210 applications on it (fairly obviously!) but yes you can run 3rd party programs..
For example Snake EX will come on the CD with the phone, it does the whole syncing thing of course.

Damn! I thinked that it would be compatible with 9210... Anyway the other day I wrote to Zenobyte asking for RingMaster 7650. I said them I already bought RM for my 9210, but they said the programming is more difficult with 7650 and RM wont be free of charge for registered users of RM9210. Now I understand it if they arent compatibles.
Anyway when Nokia launch the 7650 in Spain, Ill buy it ![]()

Beauty and the Beast - 9210 vs 7650
==========================
Yes, I seem to agree with Rafe as although the phone may have 4MB, it will soon run out of space, bearing in mind the photo donwloads and customisation of skins available for 7650.
I am contemplating a switch from 9210 to 7650 but a lot of cons / weaknesses is noted, if you are a heavy user of EPOC. As a basic phone (messaging capabilities), it is somewhat useless if you cannot view PDF applications, larger word files and/or you ned to keep deleting files.
For 9210, I keep a full set of customer database, some nice nims, family pictures, guitar tabs, doom (whew!) and loads of PDF files. As a heavy user, I am inclined to recommend a STAY for current N9210 users.
However, the imaging part of the phone is very enticing, yet it will not match up to N9210 - in a very long time. Until they have 32MB or something, this phone will soon find itself collecting dust, when all the hype is gone. With GPRS, email attachments may find itself reaching over the speed limit of 1MB?
Applications may also be another limiting factor as additional programs means additional disk space.
Substance over Form?

Just think - it wasn't long ago that Palm Pilots only came with 2MB of internal memory, and this has 4MB! This is a great smartphone for sending / receiving fun pics, games, and carrying about contacts and calender.
The 7650 is different to the 9210/9290, but I wish it had expandable memory and MP3. I've looked at all the options, and I really love having a keyboard with the 9210, but I think I'd sacrifice it for the features of a SE P800. Having said that the P 800 will probably be quite expensive. Anyone know a proposed retail price for the SE P800?
BTW, Rafe, it's good that the site does a range of Symbian devices

Thanks "Anonymous" - strange, but that was how much I figured it would be.

Mooky, you're right, i used my Palm V for about 2 years, however, the sizes of palm programs were much much smaller than symbian ones. For example, a game on symbian is about 200kb - 300kb.
That's why, the internal memory isn't enough, for such a power user. I hope Nokia would release a mmc/sd equiped version of 7650..
I got my 7650 5 days ago, and it's going to be out of memory soon.. I don't know what to do. :-?
And, if nokia come out with a 7650i, what will we do, the early buyers..? Will nokia change our 7650's internal memory, or will it make hardware modifications, to be equiped with mmc/sd..?
I wonder..
