GPRS & T-MOBILE ?

does anyone have any specific date or near to date when they are launching ! everytime i ring them up it seems to be the only question they dont answer for me !

Also is there any pricing structures set in place yet too ?

If you mean T-Mobile UK, i spoke to one of their retail support reps yesterday who said GPRS is in testing, but an easy way to get it (although expensive) is to sign up to MMS. This is 20 a month but it includes 10mb of GPRS data a month.

😉 thats something im going to look into now ! Strange thing is tho do you mean in the future the 10mb of GPRS will be included ( as they are currently testing ) or are they offering this bit now !

Exactly! It's "testing" but if you get MMS you get 10mb of GPRS now! Hmmmmm.... T-mobile want people who are after GPRS to subscribe to MMS, how many people would pay for 10mb otherwise? It also increases the chance of GPRS-wanting customers upgrading to MMS compatible handsets to get the most out of their 20, and a handset upgrade ensures T-Mobile keep you as a customer for a minimum of another 12 months. Quite clever really!

yeah ! I just rang them up and they were very very vague to start with as the first lady had to go get a new service detail pack out to tell me about it ! DOH !

Anyhow the only other question i am really going to ask them or even here is say im on the off peak 750 + 50 SMS does the GPRS included in the 10mbs only count after 6pm for instance or is that available to me 24hours as it is billed per kilobyte ? and is the time on my package affected by ny of this !? sorry to ask but T-Mobile Cust services are not very goo don the topic as yet !

Cheers
