Thjis might seem irralevent at the momment with all the who ha, about the Video recorder but ive been meaning to ask this for a couple days now.
Why didnt Nokia make the whole phone Silver??
Why is it silver in some areas, and this silver/light cyan colour for the main part, wouldnt all silver have loooked much more sophisticated and classy??

you have my vote... but what can we do now? maybe later the release 7650 in other colors, but i have mine already, so....

I'm waiting for my 'dummy' (display model) 7650's to arrive. When they do, (hopfully there will be more than one) I'll re-spray one of them either silver, white or black and fit it to my 7650 (if it looks good.)
I'll post pictures if anyone is intrested?
Might just be an aesthetic thing, If you look at the difference between a monitor with a black surround and one with a beige surround, the colours look brighter on the black monitor. Guess a similar thing is going on here.

Yeah if you could spray a dummie i'd be interested to see what it looks like.
anyway that we can get these dummy 7650s from anywhere, i managed to scratch the silver bit on mine. A dummy would be usefull to replace the front.
Yeah definitely let us know how ya go with that respraying when the dummy models come in, would be very intrested to see how it turns out.
The reason it isn't all silver is that, unless it's real metal, silver paint will scratch easily when on plastic and show the undercoat - This always looks much worse than sctaches on a plastic friendly colur like the brown or beige - God bless R&D!
But why the hell did they make the front silver??
Surely making it all silver wouldn't suddenly caused scratches everywhere!!! 😃
They've gone for a 'as much silver as we can get away with to make it look cool - but another colour on the corners where it's most likey to be scratched'
Try a pen knife on the silve and non-silver bits if you don't believe me about the look! 😊
The plastic isn't sprayed, it's made that colour before the plastic is set. therefore its the same colour all the way through. 8)

perhaps therell be Nokia coivers for it, I mean a service shop could easily replace the covers
or I could just goto the markets in the major city, I have no doubt I could find a silver cover for it there.... gives me an idea 😊
i guess if nokia make the color to be silver it will be the same as the one on nokia 8250
yeah well that woud be better then this cyan silver im stuck with.
Someone should start making covers for it sooner or later. They wouldn't be that hard to fit.
