Uhm, the help files says:

You might also want to choose a default access point. * Without a default access point you can use an active connection to a PC! (IR or BT)

What do they mean by that?
That I can use my PCs Internet connection via Bluetooth?[/quote]

IR yes,bluetooth...well you migh have hard time making that work, because i think that king of operation is not supported in the DUN profile on the nokia 7650 bluetooth chipset, why not give it a try.

OK no problem! However, you could leave a message just for the developer to see in order to correct this in feature versions!

uhmhm... I thought that the DUN-profile was the other way around.
That the PC uses the phones (gprs)connection not the other way around.

I want to use my PCs internet connection via bluetooth so that I can use webviewer, IM+, WirelessIRC etc when im home in my apartment. I feel stupid when using the GPRS-connection when i could (in theory that is) use my 10mbit connection through the computer via bluetooth.

Well,DUN profile is both ways around 😊 If it was not, then how can you enable internet sharing with two standard USB dongles (Retorical question)The problem is that the nokia 7650 can only be a server in the DUN profile, most bluetooth USB dongles can be both (Server and client) int the DUN profile,in the nokia 7650 case chipset,i think its not supported,so if its not a client its a server, meaning you can only serve the devices internet connection to a PC.Dont let this stop you from trying,i'd love to be proven wrong

I was refering to the DUN-profile in the phone.
So, it was the way I thought it was then.

Back in the day when I was using a Nokia 9110 there was a small app released that let you use a landline modem (instead of the built in gsm-modem), and with some tweaking (with pppd in linux) u could also use your computers internet connection through a serial cable.

I hope that someone could develop a similar program to the 7650 aswell (but in this case, via bluetooth instead of cable).
