Its like a bug. Everytime i start a game, i can see the battlefield for about 3 seconds and then im loosing the round.

Managed to get Pirates! Gold to work...
Finally found a version that starts without problems. That "starts", then in battles there isn't the sea, in duels the sky is half black and half coloured and the shadows are light blue, like in Battletech. Anyone has any ideas?
I'm starting to think that even Dune 2 could be playable. Maybe we have bad dumps of the games, i've tried 4-5 versions of Pirates before getting that one that works. So, search and search and search. Many roms don't work just because the domestic/overseas name (it's a value stored in the file which represents the original and the "post-export" name of the game) is incorrect (especially those of EA). Take some tools like GenRomSuite and look at these values. For example Marble Madness has these names like this: "Marble Madness". If you change it, like: "MARBLE MADNESS" or in any other way you can imagine, the rom simply doesn't work. It's all about CRCs if i'm not mistaken. So, get all your different copies and try them, maybe changing the names.
ok....do you know how to fix a game that locks up or resets itself while playing,has messed up dialog(not in dialog boxes but somewhere in between) or resets the emu once the game is abt to start?

0.16 doesn't work well at all on my 3650. It hangs the phone so that I have to remove the battery. The problem started with 0.14 but it's gotten much worse. Is this 3650-related or has anyone else had this problem?
I think Picodrive is a great emulator, but I will probably have to go back to an earlier version.

Unfortunately i'm not that good... Anyway, try to get different dumps of the games and try them all. It's not guaranteed to work, though. In that case we must wait for a newer version of PD to be released.

I first got the .04 version... lol -- no menu and stuff, but SONIC allready rocked.
now with the .16 version ... great ! landscape rotation in either direction and keyconfig. that really does make thinks easier.
only missing sound (for SONIC..) hope it will still come.
Using an N-GAGE classic. just dont know what to say, but this is absolutly the best and fastest emu i tried for the s60 os.
even all s60 GB emus are are not half as fast as picodrive!!!

If your phone has USB then send any roms to your phone that way and store them on your mmc or phone mem (Root folder were pico drive should find them), if not then you will either have to BT them or user your phones IR adapter (if it has one), once the romes have sent you will need another program called fexplorer http://users.skynet.be/domi/fexplorer.htm this is a ".sis" which you can install to your phone to view directories etc. The rom will be saved in a path on your phone (asuming that when you BT/IR them to your phone it comes up as a message) in "c:\system\mail" (if your phone saves to the mmc then the drive letter may be "e:"?) in this directory you will see folders called things like "00001001_s" and with in these there will be folders called "1" "2" to "10 and then "A" to "F" look in all the folders until you see the rom, then using fexplorer copy/cut the rom from the current directory and paste the rom to the root of your mmc/phone mem were picodrive should find it!
There may be a quicker way to do this? But this is the way I did it and it worked for me

i cant get the sound 2 work....i have deleted previous versions. where are INI. files kept that i shud delete...i have uninstalled older versions and downloaded the latest versionf rom here, but i still cant hear no sound

This is only a guess but it think it may be to do with the 6630 running Symbian OS 8.0 not the Symbian 6 OS which picodrive was designed for
On another note does any one know why there have been no updates of picodrive?

I must say picodrive is really is most impressive emulator I have seen, but it's shame that Shining Force I or II don't work :frown:
What games do you think work best when playing with picodrive? Although I'd like to play "action games" like Sonic and Dynamite Duke, they really don't work at all when playing with phone. I have Nokia 6600, so it's worse than with N-Gage. Also RPG games that would otherwise work good, usually have too small text to read from the screen. So far I have found most playable: Mega Bomberman, Phantasy Star End Of Millenium and Pac-Mania.
Other games in Phantasy Star seem to work good too, but "End Of Millenium" seems to have the most readable text.
But what games would you guys recommend?
