I've searched around CNET's download site and downloaded loads of programs, but there all rubbish.

I don't want to do anything except resize the image, so no text overlay ect ect ect.

Sorry I didn't make my question clear. I meant for Windows 9X

I think I'll just download PaintShopPro as I know it does that well, I just didn't fancy downloading a big program just to resize 1 image, as I'm using a 56k connection.

Hi,

😃 What i'm using rite now would be ADOBE PHOTOSHOP 7... but i think its a little bit too high-end for beginners...

http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/main.html

The the trick in image resizing is u must make sure that its not in indexed colour during resizing... or u'll get bad quality...

p/s: GIF format is usually in indexed colour...

I think Photoshop 7 is a piece of p1ss to use, I have installed on my pc at work. It's one of the more simple photo packages.

It's Macromedia Coldfusion/Shockwave/Dreamweaver/Fireworks/flash ect that i'm trying to get my head around at the moment.

Ah 😊
Well I use gimp because I used it on linux and I didn't bother to learn some photoshop crap. Gimp is the one graphics program for me (it has a windows port)

On the other hand, if you want a small program check out:http://tucows.pandora.be/mmedia/preview/194891.html

this program can convert any file type and resizze them 2;
You can even do it using the commandline (used this program to convert 600 images + resize them at once, using a .Bat file)

very small program and very usefull (If I didn't make it clear there is also a windows interface 😉 )
