Hi
I had a 6210 before I got the 7650, therefore I had a car charger (Non-Nokia, i.e. OEM) for it, and I tried to charge the 7650 and it doesnt work!!!.....
Its says not charging!!.......
Ive even tried it in another car, and also tried another car charger!!
Does anyone else have this problem????
Or is it just mine!!!!
I use the charger which I bought for the 9210 and it works fine with both.
I'm using a charger I bought for a 8890 it works with my 7650 fine.
My car charger was for the 8xxx series phone and it kinda works with the 7650. The plug part that goes into the phone is a little bit too small/short so it sometimes comes lose and doesn't charge the phone. But on the whole it works.
It charges ok with my Nokia car charger..
It's funny you should say that Janafunk. I also have an old in car charger for 8210/8310. which doesn't work on my 7650. Fortunately I got another one with my 7650 deal, which also says 8210/8310 but works... Mind you the old one is not faulty. It charges the 8250 ok. Same battery and all... very strange.

Hey thanks guys for you input....
It does look like I need to buy a new car charger!!!........
Its funny how the old charger doesnt work!!!......
I use my car charger that I got with my 6210 and it works fine with the 7650... They all, should work cos there all the same spec power supplies...
My 6210 power supply is not the same as the one for my 7650. From memory, I think the 6210 is 500mA, whereas the 7650 is around 800mA.
It doesn't surprise me if the old charger won't work for the 7650, though I've not yet tried my car charger yet!
well, maybe, but still when it comes to the car charger that 300mA difference wouldn't matter. Worse case, the charger heats up slightly - no biggy... Anyway, I had a look at my charger and it isnt nokia, it is a 'cellnet' brand. That is what optus in australia sell... Maybe that is why it works ok. And why I am being told from the phone company that they ALL work together any way... Have been told from two different stores and over the phone once(a complete different matter).
