Like everyone else I've had trouble sending from phone to PC, but here's a workaround until they sort out the software.

If you do a complete backup via the Nokia Data Suite, you can go to c:\Nokia\<phone name> and view the entire directory structure.

This is how I've been getting videos off the phone to the PC today 😉

Dosent work if you are using XP though.

What doesnt work? I'm running XP pro and a full backup works for me for retreiving any files off the phone.

THe Nokia Pc Suite does not work on windows XP. It is not supported (read the front of the CD).

Many have tried to get it working, but it is just not compatible.

Actually I managed to get it to work a couple of time, after some random clicking on the My Bluetooth Place. Somehow mrouter recognised the phone and I managed to hold on long enough to backup... Haven't got it to work since though. I also have XP.

Adrian

I use XP (home) with PC Suite with no problems.

There seems to be issues with quite a few bits of (untested) software that will run on some installs of XP and not others - could be to do with minor changes Microsoft make during the lifetime of the product.

Best bet would be to download Service Pack 1 for XP to be sure you have the latest versions of the components.

I have XP home - I have Sp1.

I can instal it, but after restart I have endless 'send report to microsoft' errors, and the apllication will not run 😞

I am running the Tecom bluetooth usb dongle with windows XP Pro no SP installed and can assure you it works 100% with Nokia Data Suite. First time install with no problems.
