HOLD UP.. before you buy this phone, the popular lifeblog is not included on the CD that comes with the phone. Why this is so? I don't know.... just sux! I thought it was on there
lifeblog is not included in the package
Apparently lifeblog is not yet ready for release, I assume they will make it available by download afterwards. You could e-mail nokia about it. But I was wondering will we have to pay for lifeblog? as it is ambiguous on the website.

apparently the lifeblog is only available to the USA market and i think europe(not sure totally about europe) but apparently its not available for asia because nokia decided that USA use it more than the asian market
i wrote nokia supprt in denmark europe. and they said the software should be on the CD, and on the MMC card, but neither is there....
very lousy! I wonder if we will get it for free when it's finished 😡
just ogt my 7610 today , great except the mmc card is empty and there is no software on phone: no lifeblog, no image/video editor , no games , no opera etc...
What happened??

Even for the 7610 only a trial version is supposed to be included according to the FAQ on the site: "Lifeblog is also available on the CD-ROM that comes with Nokia the 7610 phone. Once you have the trial version of the PC software, you can purchase the full version by selecting "Buy now" from the "Buy" menu of the application, or buy a license code directly from this site"
someone should sue nokia for false advertising.....its advertised as one of the main features of this phone....
-Isn't opera and other software supposed to be included on trhe memory card?
mine is totally empty. does anybody have one that came with something on it? if so , please post the files that came on it.
other problem: having trouble installing the dku-2 usb cable included in package. its blocks during installation at "installing drivers .this may take a few minutes" .i let it go for 15 min but nothing happens so i cancelled it (it was not stalled). any ideas how do fix this or install it manually?
otherwise this phone is really great ! good job nokia.
ntn wrote:its advertised as one of the main features of this phone....No. Nokia is not advertising Lifeblog being one of the main features of this phone (at least not on http://www.nokia.com/phones/7610 anywhere; no mention of Lifeblog in the phone features). Where have you seen such an advertisement?
On http://www.nokia.com/lifeblog it is, on the other hand, said that the 7610 is the first phone that works with the software (the "works with" phrase is used twice on the first page alone).
In other words, those pages are also not saying Lifeblog is a feature of the phone, but that the software "works with" it.
It is a separate application with a phone-side part and a PC-side part, and with a free trial available so you can try & decide whether you want to buy it or not.
And, obviously, it doesn't seem to be ready yet, as it is not available for download on the Lifeblog site.

on the site you linked to , on the right in big is:
-support
-nokia imaging
- Nokia lifeblog
so that promoting it as a main feature. also look at any of the press releases related to this phone and it also always mentionned without any disclaimer saying it doesnt exist.
same thing with kodak imaging software : what happened to it?
-isnt opera supposed to come free with 7610/6600 ?

I got Opera & the Kodak software installed with my phone.
And video editing software & muvee software.
All I am missing is the lifeblog, which I can not see what all the fuss is about, perhaps I am missing the point..

where was the opera an kodak software ? on mmc or on included cd? my mmc came totally empty and cd has only adobe photoshop.also the games folder came totally empty...
frankly, i dont much care for lifeblog , dont see the use for it but i just think nokia should be a bit more clear about whats included and whats not.
but i do want opera so i downloaded it from opera.com but how do i get registration key(since it should be free) ?
lifeblog is preinstall, meaning in phone memory
only US and some mkt have it, asia mkt no at all
We can download LifeBlog some time in the near future from www.nokia.com/lifeblog
But ... will it be the Symbian app or the PC prog that will cost money?
Btw, I bought my 7610 Ruby from Hong Kong. It came with pre-installed apps made by Taiwan/Hong Kong developers. Apps like Snapshot, Camera X Pro and other Chinese progs that I couldn't understand
All,
Lifeblog was always due some time in the summer, which is why you don't see it anywhere yet (read the FAQ for avaialbility).
Seems now that there is a Lifeblog Beta available for those of you jonesing for it. Go and download it. Mind the requirements, too. Beta expires in October.
Lifeblog will cost something in the end. The software will now likely go on sale sometime in the autumn. It's expected to cost around 30 euros.
Tchau,
Lifeblog Dude
30 Euros? That's going to be roughly 60 Australian dollars!
But still ... I like this program 😊
And I thought it was going to be free with my nice new 7610 !
It should be free!
