Internet and Opera

Sorry if this is a really basic question but I am new to this. I did a search and couldn't find anything, but no doubt this has been asked a thousand times before, so I apologise in advance. Anyway, here goes.

I have 02 Active (my service providers portal) set up connecting using the GPRS Wap connection. This works fine. However, if I tap in a internet address it does nothing. Just stays on 0kb. How do I surf?

Also how do you start opera? Is it opera then opera software from the menu? This also does nothing it just says 0kb and doesn't move.

Many thanks for you help.

You need GPRS Internet Access Point settigns from O2 + a subscription/plan that allows you to use it (if O2 has that).

Opera does not work using WAP Access Points.

Ok, If you need the GPRS settings tell me, but if not...
Open Opera and go to settings >> Advanced

Enable Proxy: On
HTTP proxy host: 193.113.200.195
HTTP Proxy port: 8080

Then it should work 😊

anyone needing access point settings should check here but you may have to contact your service provider to enable services on your sim. 😉
