YES, it came out yesterday 😃

But did not try it yet, as you will need more than 2000k of free space to install it 😮 and I can't really be bother to delete all my files .. try it .. then install them all again.

So .. if you have a lot of time .. it's here :

Enjoy 😉

I installed it! An it says that I have no memory even though I deleted most of my progs! THIS SUCKZZZZ!

Then i disabled almost anything! It works! Good graphics, Fast rendering! But i miss my progs 😞

Played it! Has some bugs when pressing Abc for opening doors. The character keeps moving forward! The menu is so small you cant even read it!

In order for it to support sound you have to pay 10 good ones for the PORT!

I say, remove the bugs, test it, and then try to make money! Do something about the size!

Bye

I didn't want to take my chances, I rather play it on my PC :-?

Well done for trying 😃 8)

I've been waiting for this for a while, I think plans will be in the pipeline to make it smaller with future updates. I seem to remember reading it having the same problem with the 9210.

Please note if you want to save on space you do not have to install of the levels they come in two parts. (But where's the fun in that) 😃

Question: Do owners of the 7650 place games as a main reason to having bought the phone?

Personally, I see games on the phone as a bonus and I don't use them much. I certainly wouldn't dream of wasting all that memory on Doom; that's what my Gameboy Advance is for 😉

What do other people think?

/me yes

but when i already have 7650 i'm too lazy to find a good games to put in my 7650, i personnaly think the best game for 7650 is bounce

i hav gameboy adv and it rocks now i'm playing castevania: White night concerto

😃 😃 😃

Bounce is too adictive, I comepleted in in 2 weeks, now It's boring. When you get to the end of level 11, it says you need to download some more levels from Nokia.com. But I can't find the rest of the levels.

Doom is a real good game, I wish it didn't take up all this space though.

Just a wonder: The installation of doom takes about 1700 k. And after that you need 2000 k of free memory to play it. Thats an alltotal of 3700 k. I guess you have to remove all data on the phone then. Or have I missunderstood something?

It's cool to see stuff like Doom coming out!

Does anyone know any architecture specs for the phone (clock speed etc.) - it must be fairly decent to push something like Doom along.

I think most of you miss understand something.
I assume the following (according to the 9210):
You have diskspace and you have running memory.
so you need 1700k to install (diskspace).
And 2000k of ram memory.
So you don't have to uninstall everything!!!
just close down running apps.

This extract from the readme file sounds totally cool tho'
"This version does not support Deathmatch play. Deathmatch over Bluetooth will be supported in a future version."

Hehe awesome 8)

Still a bummer about the obese file sizes. :-?

S.

Cool I can now play doom on my Digital Camera AND my 7650. Wonder if the deathmatch can use the IR on both. hehe

Stot

hrmm if I installed this I would need to have nothing on my phone
but 1 ring tone, cpl low quality backgrounds, video capture and doom

sorta dfoesnt leave me with much room now does it?

lets work on hacking back file sizes.

finally this is what i've been waiting for ... perhaps wolf3d would fit better into the phone, not taking up 1.7 mb i mean...

does it take a huge time to load up or do i have to remove more applications before it starts 😊 (the loader works fine but after that)

Does the 7650 really only has one type of memory?
On the 9210, after you got all the sis files on it you don't have to remove anything else. You might have to reboot to free up ram memory.
If it says while running not enough memory (on the 9210) then this has nothing to do with the diskspace but with the ram, you then ahve to close some running apps or reboot.
Can this go in the facs? really want to know if the 7650 only has one sort of memory 😊

I'll look into it for you, and add it to the FAQ's

Doom 7650 is a lot faster than the 9210 version! Maybe because of the smaller screen? (Seeing as they apparently have the same processor)

I'd love to buy it but i think i'll wait until I don't have to remove all my software! (I had to remove everything bar the movie software to make it run!) but you know what'd make it worth $20 rather than $10? Multiplayer by bluetooth! Wow!

maybe i'll buy it when support for non existing bluetooth joysticks, bluetooth mice or bluetooth keyboards are in 😊 ...
