I dunno if this is normal for 7610 or series 60 overall but I've experienced some low batterytimes, having recharged atleast every other day. Had a nokia 7250 earlier and i charged it once every sunday, talking, listening to radio etc during that week. With the 7610 i barely even use it and then it lasts 2 days, when watching videoclips etc. it lasts a day.
Batterytime
Yeh mine seems to be about the same. Quite a step down from my weekly charge on my 8310. I can understand it needs more power but I would have hoped for more than two days *sigh*
2 days is about normal for a smartphone , although i feel that i get about 3-4 days with my 7610 , regular use.. obviously a movie , game etc.. is very battery consuming so dont expect any miracles
mine 2 days (normal use) ... then i go for a total charge...
may be your battery it's not good...
Its normal. The screen drains alot of power.
You mean the backlight ?
do you think it wud help if i reduced the screen brightness, probably it wud consume less battery power. ................just a thought!
My battery has just gone completely flat. This is the second day of use from its last charge and this morning (3 hours ago) it had 2 bars showing. I'm not very happy with its short life!
Im satisfied with mine. It last 3-4 with regular use. With heavy use of bluetooth(bluejacking), filming and taking pictures, it will last about a day and a half. You people need to know that a phone like 7610 drains a lot of power because of the screen and other things. It has big tft screen that needs lots of power.
And to the topic starter. You cant compair 7250 and 7610. The 7250 dont use that much power like the 7610.
My 7610 battery standby time has lasted 4 days. And I'm impressed!
My ex-6600 could only last less than 24 hours. I presume the 7610 is more efficient with the BL-5C.
Why Nokia didn't use their new BL-6C makes me wonder what they're doing ...
My old battery (About 1 year old, from my 3650) lasts me about 3 days and I use my camera and bluetooth functions pretty often... No complaints at all.
My friend spent the last 2 weeks with his bluetooh on 24/7 and he was whining about how the phone ran out of battery in less than a day. He was gonna return it to the shop until we pointed out that he didnt turn it (bluetooth) off.
Should have waited for the Nokia Care people to tell him that. Haha.
Anyway don't expect a much better battery life than 2-3 days for a thirsty smartphone like the 7610 for the time being. Cheers.
This is probably a silly question but do Nokia produce higher capacity batteries or are there third party ones available?
My 7610 runs for at least 3 days regular use, 1 1/2 to 2 days for really heavy applications like video and internet. Like what the others have said this is what's normal for a smart phone. I used to own a 7650 before and anyone who has had experience with the battery life of the 7650 would agree with me that the 7610's battery life is like mana from heaven compared to the former. There are actually other batteries out there claiming to have more power but I dont know if it will work or would have no adverse effect if used since nokia has set specifications for its phones. If you really think that ur phone's battery runs out quite fast even if its on standby most of the time then I think the batt is defective or out of spec and its time to buy a new one. 😃 :icon2: :icon14:
