If I understand correctly you want to know how many SMS you send a month!
You can do this by going to the Logs application of the phone, move the joystick to the right click on options ---> filter and choose either messages or outgoing communicaton! There you can count your messages manually!
Set the Log duration in settings 30 days!

:P That's also another cheapskate method. Make full use of the phone function rather than write another appl just for recording numbers of SMS sent out.
Go to your sent messages folder, open a message. In the top corner it'll tell how many sms have been sent. Simply deleate the contents of the folder at the start of every billing period. Thats how I check mine.
