Despite that I still like my 9210, I am very disappointed with its build quality. Mine have spent more time in the repair shop then in my pocket. And if you intend to keep your every-day data on your 9210 you are in serious troubles.
Due to the fact that they are not designed for easy SW upgrade I had to send it a few times for firm level upgrade. But the worst was when the 9210 developed a HW fault. The first one was with the front keypad. It jammed - I couldn't lock it or even enter the PIN number. After a few attempt to fix the problem by reloading the SW Nokia finally replaced the upper bit of the communicator. It took them and me three weeks to sort it out.
Now I am again in troubles - the keyboard developed another defect - when I press ESC, 1 ,TAB or CAPS, the communicator receives the all four codes. 😞 so when I am in any application it will print one and try to close it!!! I need to send it back again!
I wonder what is going to happen with my communicator when in one month my guarantee expires. It is not a toy you can fix on yourself...
Has anyone experienced similar problems with 9210s.
The keyboards of my 9110 are sill working very well and I am still using it while my 9210 is not available
