i know what you mean jac... it has been quite some time since it was announced and touted for release in the UK.... a few months off a year now in fact....
my T28 literally just died over the w/end so i have to get a new phone now... a serious pity as I've been waiting ever since it was announced 9/10 months ago.
very annoying how long consumers have to wait between announcement and release. With sendo it has been even more annoying as release seemed imminent last December!
A real real shame... I'm very very disappointed particularly when I hear about how many bugs it has...
ahh well time to move on
Hi guys i understand how you guys feel, about getting a sendo x i felt the same 😉 and now i am waiting for one to arrive eheh ...
you can get one of this babys in italy our france since they are some of the few countrys that have them, they are sim free btw.The phone i think will come out in september in all europe, meanwhile here are some European online shops that have Sendo X for sale:
www.nomatica.com
www.pixmania.com
www.netbytemall.com
You guys can get one in here.
About the know bugs, all new phones have bugs so what we need to do is wait a litle bit for the new firmwares and i think that is a cause of the litle delay.
Now what i really want is to get my hangs in one heheh 😊))
Keep the posts comming ...

yes what's the nagging about. You sent me pm's also.
It's quite simple. Order outside uk.
I've done it and i have my X allready a month now. :icon14:
if you'd rather not buy now, then you can't buy it and can't have it. So what's the problem?

jac57 wrote:VERY HAPPY NOW JUST ORDERED MY SENDO X WILL BE WITH ME NEXT DAY 😉
now, was that so hard 😉
and about pissing you off, no hard feelings, but putting a whole message in caps adding angry smileys is gonna piss other people off also. Moreso when i allready gave you the advice to order outside your country.
You still want to call services in the uk. Ok, but then why ask our advice if you still trust the services of sendo more, the same services that you complain to us about !
that's not really logical to me.
anyway enjoy your sendo x when you get it :icon14: 😉
Hi Speedman...
The problem with ordering outside the UK is that you pay the SIM free price (300-500 euros or whatever it is)... if you wait for it to come to the UK, the phone will be available with a contract for probably under 50 pounds sterling.
Speaking honestly I wouldnt pay 500 euros for a product that is currently very buggy by the sounds of things. UK operators are obviously delaying the UK launch until they are satisfied that these bugs are/can be fixed.
it grates me to do so, but I'll end up either buying a Nokia 3G symbian *spits out of window* (free with a 10 pounds a month contract) or buying a non-symbian phone like the Sony Ericsson K700 which is free with a 12 pounds a month contract
The phone is very good and i don't know of any manufacturers who listen to customer comments and actually fly out and meet with them, as Sendo did a week ago.
I have been advised the firmware upgrade will be available very soon.
The phone actually feels like a phone and i prefer the candybar style to the fat Nokia 6600/3650.
I have tried all the series 60 phones and find the X is easiest to use and has way more positives than negatives.
I especially like the Now screen, Wallpaper option (on Now screen), Opera browser, Voice recognition to name but a few.

Any of those companies deliver to the U.S.?
i know netbytemall delivers to the whole world.
in Belgium buying a phone with a subscription to a provider is illegal .
So here, you always pay the full price for the phones.
Crazy ?
yes we are 😊
Speedman is the X all that its supposed to be or did it fail to live up to all of the expectation?
with a firmware upgrade to repair some minor problems
with the people of smartmovie releasing a version that actually works
yes, it does live up to my expectations 😊
ILLEGAL???? man that's annoying...
When I got my old 7650 I got it for free with a 20 pounds a month contract...
I would really hate to have to buy a phone for the full price...
You guys have a bum deal...!
jamesbreen wrote:When I got my old 7650 I got it for free with a 20 pounds a month contract...Look at it the other way - Expansys will sell you a SIM free Sendo X to use with your current contract for 313 - buy it for 58 and you need to commit to a new contract for 24 months - which means the total cost is over 500 if you want to keep your current contract and your current phone number (however, if you shutdown your current contract, or transfer your number then you may be fine - but I'm happy with my current contract, and I know my network provider is not going to be launching the Sendo X any time soon - and I'm not interested in changing networks right now.) In fact, there does not appear to be a tariff on the Expansys website that makes the phone cheaper overall to buy with the contract for me (notwithstanding the fact that you get additional minutes if you are willing to constantly swap sims)
I would really hate to have to buy a phone for the full price...
Sim free models always seem to cost more, but you then don't get network specific branding within the phone, and you do get the ability to apply generic firmware updates in advance of the network approving their branded version - which is especially useful for the Sendo X where firmware updates are available for user application (remember the Sendo X firmware system will limit a network branded phone to approved network branded firmwares, and you won't be able to apply any old firmware upgrade to it).
Me? I'll be buying one SIM free once released (Expansys prices are pre-order only at the moment), although I'm likely to wait a week or three for the price to drop a little.
the expansys contract prices are a little inflated. I would expect them to come down considerably within a short period of release.
You never have to commit to 24 months... and if you take into account that you can switch to the lowest priced tariff after 3 months it makes sense to do it that way...
i.e.
Orange... say phone costs 50 + (3mnths 25 =75) = 125... then you can switch to Orange's value promise to match Virgin which leaves you with no monthly tariff... total cost is 125 quid
Vodafone... say phone costs 50 + (3 mnths 25 = 75) = 125... then switch to lowest tariff (9 mnths @ 11 =99) total cost of phone is 224 plus you've had free minutes all year.
But anyway nothing of that makes any difference if you're happy to pay it... good luck to you, I wasn't saying its the best way for everyone in the UK, I'm saying its the cheapest!! 😊
jamesbreen wrote:You never have to commit to 24 months... and if you take into account that you can switch to the lowest priced tariff after 3 months it makes sense to do it that way...I believe OVP Virgin is no more - but your general point is still sound.i.e.
