After I upgraded to SW12 firmware my ringtone sound went down when I have still kept it at max while the MP3 quality improved. Why is this so? Is there any method to solve it?

Actually this is a known bug of firmwares 10 & 12. The only way to solve this is by downgrading to either fw07 or fw08 and this can only be legaly done in a Siemens Service Center...
There are rumors though that this is/will be solved in fw14...
