Need 4 Speed Underground on 6600

16 replies · 3,988 views · Started 18 September 2004

I transferred the Need4SpeedUnderground.sis file to the 6600.
I ran the installation, but had some work, and had to terminate the installation half way.
Ever since then, I am unable to delete the file from my Inbox.
The error I get is: "General! Already in use"

I've tried restarting the phone, removing the Memory Card, Battery, etc.

Help!!

try holding down the menu button. a list of icons for apps that are currently running should appear. use your keypad to select the n.f.s.u icon & press the clear (C) button. you should get the message "Exit .......?"
select yes & wait. once it has closed try deleting it again.

if this doesn't work let me know.

Already tried that - NFS is not running in memory - at least nowhere that can be seen easily.
Can't figure out how to get rid of it!!! It's just sitting there, eating space!

If you delete one of the files in system\apps\needforspeed using a file explorer there will be a program error which will close the app,and then you should be able to delete it!

I forgot to mention... no matter how many times i've tried to install this game, i can't seem to find it installed anyplace.
However, I will use file manager to search for the directory mentioned by you. Thanks.
Will post later...

I dont know exactly if thats what its called but it will be something like that.

It will be there somewhere.........

Try:

C:\system\apps
C:\system\install
C:\system\MIDlets

E:\system\apps
E:\system\install
E:\system\MIDlets

😊

OK. Searched everywhere. Found all the other stuff i've installed, but did not find this. Now what? 😞

Are you trying to delte the file rfrom the inbox ????

if you are then goto C😞if your messages are sved to the phone mem) or E: (if your messages are saved to the mmc)> System > Mail >then search around in here and delete the file when you find it

p.s. where did u get this game

elton wrote:Have you tried deleting the file in C:\system\mail or E:\system\mail?

is there an echo in here

😊 😉

great minds think alike eh...

Ok. Great. So all I gotta do is shift all my important messages to card memory, and then delete whatever is there in the inbox on phone memory.

Will try it, and post later.

The number of things you gotta do!

Find and delete the file in "C:\system\mail".
Find and delete the file in "Mailbox".
Find and delete the file in your Inbox folder.

Done! Clean! Finito! FINALLY! YAAAAY!!!!
