hi everybody!
i've bought my shiny new p900 a few weeks ago ( 😃 ) and now im thinking of getting a 128mb memory stick - so i looked on amazon.de and found two models:
- Sony MSH-M128N Memory-Stick Duo 128 MB at 49,99
- Sony MSH-M128A Memory Stick Duo 128 MB at 59,99
and google did not at all come up with any useful information about what the difference between these two is - anybody got the answer?
greets,
kibou
I've bought the FujiFilm one (about 65) and works perfectly.
I fill that Italy is not a good market for such devices...but in my market this price is a competitive one (Sony 145)!
Enjoy you P900!

I couldn't find any differences. I guess both are fine...
Is one maybe the high-speed variety (which will make no difference on the P900 anyway)?
Checkout SANDISK brand. It comes with 5 years warranty... 😎

I bought my memory stick from Amazon ( UK ) although the model number there was simply listed as MSH-M128 and it went straight into my P900 and worked without a glitch. The cost of it was 42.49 gbp ( though they only ship to UK ) although since I bought it, I've seen the same thing on Ebay for 30gbp
cheers
He Nosferatu, you're back!!! Where have you been? And how are you?
I don't think you should pay any more then 30 euros for a 128mb MSD to be honest with you. I now have 32 128mb MSDs which on avg cost about 32 Euros. I think the lowest I paid for one was 23 euros and the most 125 euros. However, that high cost can be thrown out because I purchased that one from Japan prior to it being released out West or any where else for that matter. I also have MSDs from every manufacturer that has released them. I have not seen any differences between any of them. Performance and scanning is not easier on one brand from another. I don't have much use for them as I am stocking up on 512mb MSD-Pros for my P910. I'll be in Amsterdam the first week of Nov.. I'm thinking about selling my P900 along with all these 128mb MSDs.. Maybe I'll put them up on Ebay or Amazon.
You have 32??? 😱
Well, here in Holland, a new 128 MS Duo is at least around 50 euro, you can only get them cheaper on ebay or other Dutch auction sites...

Yeah m8.. I got the majority of my MSDs from the states and from Japan. The only thing I bought from Holland was my P800 nearly 2 yrs ago.
As far as i know, there are two versions of the MS Duo and the newer version is supposedly faster in speed. Thats all i know.

But when implemented into the Pxxx there are no noticable differences. They are the second generation of MSDs. But to Pxxx owners that will mean NOTHING. The Pxxx treats them the same way. Keep in mind MSDs were not manufactured primarily for Pxxx. Therefore, some devices may have the capability of better utilizing the differences in access speeds varied among MSDs.
