I dont believe it's available in Europe or at least some parts of Europe yet. Anyway, it's a great phone. One of my favorites of Nokia now. :P I know my picture is not of the greatest in quality, but it was taken with my 7650 is a medium lit area, so at least it has something to do with this forum.

Yo 1! You live in da middle east?

Ya I live in the Middle East. In the United Arab Emirates, in Dubai, been here all my life, cool place.

How much you pay to get one

Nothing at all. I get all Nokias for free. If you look at one of my earlier posts, I said that I'm a partner in a tourism, cargo, travel company, and we ship most of the phones from Finland to the main distributors in the United Arab Emirates, and of each phone, Nokia graciously 😃 gives me one for free. Actual retail price here is 480$ US.

In Dubai, the entire status of people is based on what kind of mobile you have, if your phone number is nice and important, like 6667666, and your car.

I think it's a series 40 phone if i'm not mistaken, anyone know for certain?

Yes its only j2me based apps, and i believe only 275kb of user space, but u can delete some of the games. Two games come preinstalled, bounce and triple pop, although there is a lot of ghosting in bouce, probably the screen can't refresh fast enough.

hi "1"

i wouldn't say it's very cool 😃

How's the display quality on the 7210? My friend said he was playing with one in Hong Kong and complained that the screen isn't very good. He also told me that the phone he played with was very much like the earlier 6210s (and early 9210s) - dead slow!

I'll post a complete review, including pictures without the casing tomorrow. The best quality pictures I can take are with my webcam sorry about that, but they're pretty good if I focus probably. The display is great, however doesn't refresh fast enough for Bounce. However, contrary to what some say, the phone is not slow. Wasn't fast either, middle of the road. T

Weight: 83 g (battery included) it is very light and fits nicely in your hand.
9/10

Dimensions: 106 x 45 x 17.5 mm Size is fine, a bit taller than the 8250, but slimmer
9/10

Talktime: I haven't used the complete battery cycle yet, but I suspect it to be a bit less than the 8310 and 8910 phones, as the 7210 uses a slimmer battery that is 720 mAh. Plus, it has a color screen so even more drain.
8/10

Tones: Throughout the entire monophonic and polyphonic tone list, there isn't one normal phone tone that I could find. I've never liked musical tones so minus points there. Even if you did like musical tones, there's not much of a choice, only like 20.
8.5/10

Display: Screen is bright, the 4096 color display helps, jpegs show up properly. I transmitted over infrared a few jpegs from my 7650 to my 7210 and they all worked fine. One big problem is that the screen is SLOW in refreshing. Some games that require a lot of quick movement, like Bounce have TONS of ghosting which really doesn't make it that enjoyable. Otherwise, brightness is fine, and can be adjusted.
8.5/10

Interface, buttons and speed: The interface is basically your standard Nokia interface that you find in the 8310 and the 8910 just converted to color, and added support for J2ME apps, much like the 6310i. It is very easy to navigate, and very quick. The buttons are well responsive, however when I was trying to write an SMS, I was confused as to where the middle numbers were compared to the side numbers. Takes some getting used to. Speed through the main ui is quick, sometimes there is a bit of lag, but not that noticeable.
8/10

Design: Excellent design. The back cover has an excellent design, and it is placed in the exact right area where your fingers should be when you talk, so that you don't touch the antenna. The front also has a nice curved, swervy design, and nice little indentations between the middle numbers and the side numbers. All works to fit together perfectly. My favorite colors are the blue and orange.
10/10

Connectivity: NO BLUETOOTH!!! That really brought down my rating for connectivity. It has standard infrared at the top of the phone, and GPRS, but I really wanted Bluetooth, because I have a Nokia HDW-1 wireless Headset, and it would've been neat. I mean Ericsson T68i and Nokia 8910 have it, so I though this would've also.
7/10

Call Quality, Loudspeaker: Quality of calls is better than most Nokias. I tried using the phone in the bathroom where none of my Nokias ever work, and presto, it got a connection but only 2 out of the 7 marks. The Loudspeaker function is great, really means handsfree.
8.5/10

Radio and Headset: The Radio with the new Pop-Port Stereo Headset is excellent, quality is great compared to 8310. The Pop-Port is a bit bulky though, and the use of older Nokia headsets is not possible with the 7210. The Loudspeaker also works with the radio, however one problem, if you wish to use the radio even with only loudspeaker the headset has to be plugged in, because as it says in the manual, the headset is like an extension of the radio antenna. Still, I though it would've been better to have given the option to not use the headset and still use the radio.
8.5/10

Overall: I'm quite happy with this phone. The first small color Nokia is truly an eye-turner. Not cheap at the moment but prices should drop later on. The lack of Bluetooth really takes away part of the functionality of this phone, but what the heck, they're all free for me. 8)

Pictures of interior will be posted in my next post.

Thats slick man, you get all phones for free!!! You remind me of one of my friends, he has almost all nokia phones, but he gets them the day they get released! (hence the most highest price) he's the school mobile dominator, he bought the 7210 yesterday, for 2700SR (459 GBP)

Theres money for ya 😃

Here are some pictures I took with my webcam. Best I could do, planning on getting a digital camera next month. 😊 Also, I'm not planning on dissecting the phone with my screwdriver just yet. Maybe in a couple months.

i notice that nokia now uses the plastic thing to hold the sim card like in the other mobile phones

i thing it's better cos like now with the slot method the sim card scratches more easily

To "1"

what is the colour of the LED is it white or blue ??

Wow theres those little dots on the left side of the sim card. That means theres a cable for it 😃

I still feel the pain of getting forced to buy an infra red adaptor after the 7650 😞
But what good is it without it?!?!

😃

Yes it is a much better idea. If you remeber the good old 6110 Nokia it also had that plastic thing. I have 3 sim cards, but even I have to change phones once in a while, and they get pretty scratched up. Good move by Nokia.

Also LED color is white, but I doubt one could tell the difference on a color phone. If it was blue LED, the color would appear weird.

How much is the capacity of the battery?

Capacity is 720 mAh. A bit less than the 8310 and 8910 which are 750 mAh. The new 7210 battery, BLD-3 is a bit slimmer than the older BLB-2.

Ahhh 😞 thought it would be bigger than the 7650's so u can easily keep those precious battery bars standing!
