TV on n-gage.

Not sure if you can do it with Ngage since it doesnt support EGDE or 3G....otherwise the bandwidth will be too slow to stream any video. Its already slow enough on the 6620's using EGDE....

Here in Brazil, we have a service from TIM, called TIM TV. It works pretty fast on the n-gage.

Well Bernardon, I live in Brazil too and I've bought an N-gage recently. I have no ideas about using the TIM TV ACCESS. Do I have to download any software to my n-gage? Do I have to set any special configuration? If you are already using this service, help me please ...

ah, How much are you paying for that service ?

I thought it would work on the normal GPRS acess. But as Colgate and Dyggs said, they cant connect. You have to create a new acess point. Here are the configurations for Tim Tv Acess:

MENU -> TOOLS -> SETTINGS -> CONNECTION -> ACCESS POINTS

- New Access Point, using default settings

Connection name = Tim TV

Data bearer = GPRS

Access point name = tv.tim.br

User name = tim

Prompt password = no

Password = tim

Authentication = Normal

Gateway IP address = 0.0.0.0

Mas a�, � como dizem n�, brasileiro se encontra em qualquer lugar, hehehehe.(isso se vcs forem brasileiros mesmo n�, as vezes est�o passando um tempo no Brasil s�) Pelo que eu pude ver do ingl�s de vcs, vcs n�o ter�o problemas em traduzir as configura��es. E tb se tiverem, � s� passar o idioma pra ingl�s e configurar, depois voltar pro portugu�s.

Don`t need to install anything, you use the Real One Player, just enter that URL I posted before, and enjoy...

But don`t expect to watch Globo, they don`t have that channel yet.

A conex�o do tim tv � via GPRS, por�m � o GPRS do tim tv, ent�o, vc n�o paga pela conex�o. Eu ainda quero testar pra ver se consigo navegar na internet usando o ponto de acesso do Tim TV, se eu conseguir vou conseguir navegar de gra�a, heheheheheh. Ah mais uma coisa, algum de vcs est� usando outra operadora que n�o a TIM??

Colgate, you tested the Aiptek MMC 256MB, right? You said it didn`t work. But what is your firmware version?? Mine is V3.47. I heard from here that there is a 4.10 version, but when I called Nokia service here in Brazil, they said that mine is already up-to-date. I think that the version might be the problem of the compatibility with big MMC`s, cause in the "www.n-gage.com" they say it supports up to 512MB MMC`s, and in the "www.n-gage.com/br" it`s up to 128MB only.

What do you think about that??

Mine is 3.47 too. I tried the 256MB Aiptek card and all I got was "Card corrupted" from times to times. Then I did buy a 512MB Ridata card from eBay, this one is working without any error!

Colgate, you bought it from ebay, right? But how did you paid for it? As far as I know, to transfer money to the USA we have to pay a 30 Dollars tax for the bank to send the money to any USA bank account. Is that what you did?

Eu descobri o endere�o pq a minha esposa trabalha na TIM 😉 . Bom n�o interessa o que a TIM diz, o q importa � que qualquer aparelho com o SO da Symbian que tenha o Real One Player, pode acessar o tim tv. Se vc olhar a configura��o de um aparelho j� configurado d� pra fazer, � s� copiar tudo e pronto. E quanto a comprar um N-gage, v� em frente, garanto que n�o vai se arrepender. E aproveita enquanto ele t� barato.

There is no Real Player in The QD. Whereas in the Old N-Gage there is. So is there a Real Player or video streaming software for the N-gage QD? Just Checking? And is there other Channel we can tap into other than Brazil? 😊 :con?
