As you can read on the Nokia site the mp3 playback would be in stereo.

And it comes with a stereo headset....

Not necessarily. The 6260 did have stereo FM radio, but no stereo MP3. I SO hope it is stereo, it would make it perfect for me!

That's the worry, they dont actually mention stereo mp3 play just the radio, what are Nokia doing?
Mobile 3g were very critical (in their pidgeon English) of the fact that it was mono and called it a shameful situation.

If that's the case then it is indeed a shame for Nokia. Sad.

I speak Russian, but this language is somewhat similar. Therefore, it looks like it is going to resemble 6260 - Stereo Radio and Mono MP3 playback. I guess, I'll stick to my 6620 which is stereo and uses normal MMC's , has IRDA and more RAM than any other S60 Nokias so far.

Gonna pass too, idiots at Nokia 😡 When I thought they finally got it with this device, they screw it up... AGAIN! 😡

I have e-mailed Nokia (Norway) and asked them specifically about which of these units (6670, 6260, 6630 and 3230) have 44Khz Stereo playback of MP3. (I did NOT ask about the FM-radio)

They replied that the 6630 and 3230 have stereo mp3-playback. :icon14:

Simultaniously they add at the end of the mail, that their answer is based on the information I gave them (my question), and that it is only general information, and that they can not promise or guarantee anything, and that the answer I have got is not legally binding for Nokia in anyway.

So, hehe, I personally do believe that the 3230 is supporting MP3 playback in stereo, but I guess we will have to wait and see.

With regard to your enquiry about Nokia 3230, kindly note that, Nokia 3230 has a Mono MP3 player and Radio is stereo in headset and loudspeaker modes"

I do not think that this leaves any room for any reasonable doubt.

It is as clear as the MP3-Play is UNCLEAR!!!

I wonder if they will come with stereo functionality in future releases of the FirmWare. I do not know any programming and / or anything about hardware limitations, that might limit incorporation of this ability, but as the Tag-Line of the advertisement in India goes,

i have nookia 6670 and one day i have download mp3 player on my phone and dont ask from where and what version it was, and i think its the latest version and since that day my music turn okey and it appear in my mp3 player there is some song stereo
so i guess you can enhancment you phone some-how by application
and about the latest nokia product it seems to me shit :icon13: not coz of thier feature but their use coz when my friend bought nokia 6630 and he told it had a problem in its anten so i habe been disappoiment about the newer phone from nokia and i hope nokia company release a new version of nokia with a power-full of using :icon14:
