Ok let's make it clear for once!
I've upgraded my sendo X (dutch version) with the 60 firmware and first of all, I want to thank sendo because lots of problems where fixed! 😊
I've never had any problems of missing calls while playing an mp3 so the phone as it is, is ok for me.
BUT, I don't want an ok phone considering the price I've paid...
As far as I'm concerned the first thing that is missing is a theme editor or at least some themes to download. Every smartphone today has got this feature, it's even implemented (apparently) in the sendo.
In the last firmware we had a choice between a ugly theme to my taste (curve) and an other one ,a bit less ugly ,(sendo). So why is it you removed the sendo theme in the current firmware??? please tell me sendo is preparing something like a theme editor.. please I can't stand this curve theme anymore!
In this forum we see lots and lots of affirmation about sendo themes and theme editor, could you kev make that clear once and for all?
From what I know, this is what I can tell you...
Yes, there are still some bugs in the phone, and unfortunately the MP3 problem still seems to exist for some users (and is now evident to some users who didn't see it before)
The theme editor is not yet finished, I'm told it's about 80% done, but this is not good enough to release to the general public (as I'm sure you're aware). I also don't think Sendo have decided whether or not this software should be released to the general public or not...it may be that their network operators want to keep some form of branding control over the look of the phone 😞
There are some thmes which Sendo has done, I know that Kev wants to get a couple of them up on the website soon...and as to why the Sendo theme got taken out of the latest firmware....your guess is as good as mine!
the GPRS isn't fixed as well
i was just in GPRS with wayfinder, when i received a message, i went to check it, then i went to agile messenger and started that up to see how these two programs would finally use GPRS together in a correct way.
but no: DisConnected from the gprs when starting agile messenger. :frown:

I don't see how it would be that technically dificult to reverse-engineer a theme. The file locations are mentioned in that thread c:\system\themes I think... then it's just a case of editing the rsc files...
I don't speak german I'm afraid...so I can't comment...

this is hosted on the same web site... is it a photoshop thing or is there a sendo X somewhere in the world that has got this kind of look??????????I want that!! I want that badly... 😊 this could make me keep my sendo... 😃

Moin, finally production, on the Sendo X are now possible for topics, these by the firmware are already supported, however the installation is still very tricky. Here a first early picture, is only one test (proof OF concept): So, as it looks leaves itself the following things to change: Startupanimation Startupsound SystemIcons NowScreen Icons background highlight bar, etc.. For the moment these files are loaded still from the ROM (thus partial XIP is compiled). The appropriate file Themedatei must be therefore gepatcht so that the on the left of refer C to drive assembly. Then the necessary Themedateien must be copied from Z to C, adapted then and again compiled. These new files replace the old with same file name. Everything still quite complicates, but Sendo seems to work also on new topics. If a Theme were shot up, seems the X with defaulttheme to boats, so that it does not fall. I can guess/advise however for the moment only everyone: Finger away of o.a. Modifications, that is not simple!
OK - here's the truth...the pic I posted, and the pic that mendoico posted are *REAL* themes for the Sendo X!
The Kylie one (the one I posted0 will never be released (due to copyright) but that other one (silver and green) might be....

Well, there is a theme editor (for PC, not Mac), as I have said before, but it is NOT finished (only about 80% - no help, not so easy to use). Even when it is finished, it may not be released for customers, but sold only to operators and theme (content) developers. That is not 100% decided, and it may still be a download too, for you guys to have.
As to handset themes, there are some already done (4 / 5), and some of these MAY be on the website soon, when someone "higher up" says "OK". I do not know why a theme was taken out of the new build. I will check tomorrow. It may come back on the next firmware, if there was no good reason to take it out.

PS - The Matrix theme (on the German site) is NOT one I have seen before. As it is a (c) image, that would NOT come from Sendo.
I have a great way of creating a theme,
1, print out the matrix theme from http://www.telefon-treff.de/showthread.php?threadid=143544
2, cut it out with a pair of scissors (make sure your parents are supervising)
3, attach some double sided sticky tape to the cut-out (you could also use blue tack)
4, apply the cut-out onto the screen of the phone and press down firmly to secure
5, as the phone is not usable anyway, at least it looks better now.

I have tried it and you should see all my friends drool over the phone now, they all want one, I have made them believe that the phone is actually as good as its supposed to be 😉

First of all I want you to know that I want new themes badly!! And I'm pretty sure I'm not alone!!! so please tell the "man in charge" to release that wonderfull silver and green theme!!! please!!! I can't stant that curve one anymore!😉

How to restore Spiro Theme :
1) Download Spiro.rsc from http://www.forumfree.net/?t=2411109&st=0#lastpost
2) Create C\system\data\Theme
3) Put Spiro Theme in Theme folder

hey, it also works for the Telefonica Spanish release ( It never came with the spyro theme)
downloaded spiro theme and copied and pasted to c/system/data/themes and put it there when i went to display its there but click on it and it changes to sendo look even though its spiro what does spiro look like

Isn't that the idea? It is Sendo Theme renamed so that anyone can use it. It is so that if you only have Curves theme (like on release 60) then you can also have this theme.
thanks didnt know it had been renamed, have not updated to 60D yet as you all seem to be having probs at the moment can you tell me if its worth it as my phone is running ok, only probs are phone freezes if to many things opened and pinball seems to have lost the sound

I'm the one who did the "matrix" "theme". In fact you have to re-engeener the curves theme and you have to copy some files from z location to c and m,ake some folders there. You have to decompile the MBM and make some new graphics. After that, you have to recompile the mbm!
It is not that easy to to, but it is possible.
In fact, nearly all things are chngable, although the startup und shutdown sound craheshed the phone if you change it!

Can you -when you have the time of course- be more specific and exhaustive about what you did, I'm wishing to do the same!!! did you manage to change the color of the network info (top of the screen) and of the option and exit buttons??? if yes could you tell me how??? thanks foreward!
I've managed to copy some files that I think are important:
themedefault*.mbm but all the interessant ones aren't supported with my mbm decompiler... 😡 witch one did you use???? it says archive not valid. All my icons are ready but I can't edit the original ones... arggg! btw where (ie in witch file) is situated the menu's wallpaper? that's the first thing that will go!
