If it keeps going into update mode, it sounds like it did not complete properly - is that the case? eg: cable came out, pc rebooted, etc.

If that is the case, the phone will STAY in update mode until the re-flash is completed, as you only have part of the update, which is not enough for the handset to work.

Try powering on again with the STAR key pressed to get it back into PROPER update mode again, and then flash the firmware again.

Also, the power charger WILL NOT work during update mode, so DO NOT insert it when updating. You MUST have a fairly full battery to do the update, or it will fail, and you will not be able to finish it, then you will need to either borrow a battery, charge it with the cradle, or, send it in to the Sendo Service Centre.

where is service centre as i cant charge it battery has died so dead phone now

I've got the same problem with one of my phones, it's stuck in update mode and won't finish the update.

(Kev, I've tried what you suggested (pressing * again) - still the same thing happens for me, no matter which firmware I select, it finds the phone then instantly fails the upload, just as though I were trying to use a firmware which it's not allowed to load)
