Buggy email on the 6630!!

Funny email program I have -- When I try to send NEW email, it does not work BUT when I REPLY to received email it works. This can be seen when sending email. NEW mails fail and remain with deferred status in Outbox while ones that were REPLIED are sent OK. I've been in SW, IT & TelCo world now like 10 years as profession and I think it's a bug! Anyone else experiencing this? My firmware is V.29.15 dated 11.11.04 RM-1

I must try some other emailing apps and see whether they work.

Been using Sonera's Pro Data with E/GPRS.

Email works fine for me. I did have to change the settings from the default though. Orange had set the SMTP from smtp.orange.net to smtp.orange.net:110 Which did not work. I removed the 110 and it all works fine now. Had to remove :25 from the end of my pop details to reset it to pop.orange.net for that to work too.

So, rather than the email being buggy, it may just be set wrong.
