there are many differences between hese two devices... Nokia 6630 is faster, better equipped /EDGE and W-CDMA support/,newer version of SYmbian, stereo MP3 and of course better picture quality and a bit higher resolution 😊

i have both phones at the minute & i would tend to agree that the 6630 is better.

the 6630 is an excellent phone packed with features & the only downside i can find at the moment is the whole network unlocking issue (mines locked to t-mobile)

however. the 7610 isn't that far behind & everyone i know seems to love the design (especially the ladies 😉 )

in a review i read that the 6630 has much less RAM, around 7mb? is that right.. dont rem where exactly i read that.. it was measured by devman i guess.. i have 7610 and love it every bit

as i know after the firs start is the available RAM more than 8.5MB... where did you read that ? try to read more reviews, like on www.mobile-revoew.com and some other 😃

all,or maybe almost of the applications and games from 6600 works fine on the 7610,its a question os Symbian version and compatibility
7610 is much more slower than 6630 in the case of image, camera loading, menu usage, and so on

It has the same amount of ram but has more processoes running in the background like the menu. Its done like this so the menu loads instantly rather than the old menu lag on the 6600.

Idle my 6630 has about 8.8meg of ram free if you shut down the background menu process I have about 9.2 there are other things running as well that are not running on the 6600. If you disable Bluetooth and shut down the menu process I have just under 10meg which is pretty much what I have with my 6600.

as long as theres about 6 or 7 meg free I doubt you will notice too much difference.

i've also found that my 6630 boots up quicker than my 7610.

If I restart the phone and don't touch anything apart from FExplorer, I have 9.4MB free RAM.

After using contacts, messaging and log, this goes down to 8.4MB and stays that way as long as I have no 3rd party apps open.

Basically, the contacts and log apps stay in memory as hidden processes after being used. If you use TaskSpy or similar to shut down all non-critical processes, you'll have nigh on 10MB free.

I sold my previous nokia 7610 at rs. 17,500 (which i have bought at 24,500 rs before 3 months) to get Nokia 6630... now u can imagine, how the phone worth is!! and if u have dreamed of buying nokia 7610 before, now u can buy nokia 6630 at the same old price of nokia 7610...so go for it dude !!..

cool well think im gonna go for the 6630 although the styling of the 7610 is very nice. don't really want a fone just cos it looks good although the 6600 wasnt exactly a fashion accessory. anyway im gonna see orange and see wot kinda upgrade they can give me.

does anyone know the upgrades on orange for a 6600 to either a 6630 or 7610
