Thanks JJ03, somebody finally agreed to me that 6630 looks much better than new 6680 (forget abt the watching movie in landscape).. 6630's buttons arrangement is awesome ..the guys who loved 3650 for its designs earlier, shoudn't state 6630 as ugly shape phone.. 6630 is quite good in shape....although 6680's 2.6 million color display, integrated flash, dual cameras r tempting me to buy it, i would rather wait, nokia to launch symbian os 9.0 based phones to have some real advanced features.. :icon14:

2.6 MILION colour display ? 😃 as i know it has "only" 262 144 colour display,but nevr mind,maybe its only a mistake... 6680 is a great phone,o like its design,and of course all the abilities and features,but i think its better to wait for more improvements connected with the coming Symbian 9.0 and Series 60 platform in 3.0 version... and of course for me because there is no 3G in my country,talking about the change of my 6630 to 6680 is an "nonsens" 😃

the changes, if you can call them that, in the 6680 simply arent enough to justify me buying it... for me, as i said before..its very ugly...adding a flash and a 262k screen really just isn't enough...if you have a 6630 why the hell would you buy the 6680?? your essentially buying the same phone with a couple of bits added on...ok, some people might want the intergrated camera thats built into it, but seriously..what is the point... same processor, etc etc...i hate nokia doing this...it seems to be a trend... release a new phone...give it a while..then release the same phone with a couple of extra's added on to it...how many people are they going to piss off....nice one nokia.... 🙄

i can only agree with you... 😃 there are so "i" version phones,especially from Nokia,but now what we saw on the 3GSM was something like this:Motorola:black Razr,some other Vxxx models,Samsung:two models based on E700 and some new ones,Panasonic:same desing phones with different abilities,Nokia:new phone,and improved 6630 in two version,one for GSM countries /6681/ the second one for UMTS ones and Sony Ericsson😮ne new model,and Z800,which is the free of version of V800 from Vodafone... it looks like,that the manufacturers need more fantasy and of course money for slightly improved phones... 😃 all they want is money,money and once again money 😃 😃 and they dont care about users,only launch phones after phones with minimal differences between thems,some design changes,couple of new features and tadaaam,they can sell them as new ones... 😃

i think so too that the 6630 looks beautifull..it has a nice curve, very elegant..the 6680 looks too plain to me..like every other blocky bar phone...and also all you peeps witht the 6630 that want to upgrade...go ahead and waste your money..it aint worth it...
what i didnt like...
1.same processor cpu....it would of been nice to have a xscale intel cpu..they did make an agreement...
2.still 10 megs int mem...why not 16 or 32?
3.no hot swap mem..that will kill it for me.
4.ugly button layout
5.blocky design
6.round keypad...i love my keypad on 6630
7.they should of gone for the 2.0 or 3.0 megapixel...every else is going over 1.3
what i did liked..
1.262k color screen.
2.flash..
3.dual cam
but its still not worth the upgrade...i think its good to wait for nokia to use the Intel cpus'
The specs clearly say that the 6680 has a hot swap MMC slot!!!

The Nokia 6630 must be the ugliest phone Nokia has ever created (along with
the 3650/3660) , but I can understand that you feel bad about spending the
money on it now that the 6680 is on it's way!!!

3G is all to do with the frequency and Data Speed.... Video Calling is a gimmick that takes advabtages of the Increased speeds. The 7600 was the first "real" 3g phone from Nokia.
Oh and dont forget the price that will no dount be a difference 😉

thanks.but i know all these facts about 3G 😃 videocalling is just one not so important thing,whats more important is the data speed 😊 and the first 3G phone from Nokia was... 6650 😃

but its different,because there isnt something like 6631/6632,but in the case of 6680,there are the other models for different countries /6682 for America/ and 6681 for non 3G countries... of course,the 6680 will be available in GSM countries too,but only in small amounts and with no marketing support from Nokia,because only GSM model will be officialy launched and selled by Operators in non 3G countries 😃

The "bloody" flash is pretty handy for taking pictures in the dark, I have it on
my Sendo X, and even If I am not 100% satisfied with that phone, the pictures
are much better with LED-flash, than without, so you can say what you want!!!
Also the childish design on the 6630 with the round edges in the bottom is
reason enough for me not to buy that phone, reminds me of the 3650/60 or
a toy for a child coming out of a Kinder Egg..
The 6680 is so slick and beauty!!!

[email][email protected][/email] reading your above statement, your obviously sold on it...hey, if you don't take to it you can always use it as a door stop...like i said previously...it aint worth the upgrade if you own a 6630... just to get a "bloody" flash, and a 262k screen...still, theres always gonna be a few suckers who will..and pay the extra hundred quid or so they are gonna ask for it...so...it appeals to the daft, and the "bar of soap" design lovers...good luck with your purchase and the lovely battery life that'll come with it....lol...and, the bugs that'll come with it... 😃
still, i'll be able to tell you more about it in a week...as i'm attending a conference in birmingham where the newest handsets are displayed and available for use for industry workers...i wonder if , nokia released the 6630 again with an extra button, say for backlight activation, how many people would buy it??? probably a bucket load...there will always be people who are just plain stupid...ready to be exploited...lol
