I think this was already said in other threads, but perhaps it's useful to remind it here: AgileMessenger does NOT provide a direct access to chat services, but to some kind of relay server operated by (or for) the editor, for a monthly fee automatically paid via a surcharged SMS service.

As far I am concerned, my preference goes to a direct access with a one-time fee. So I uninstalled AgileMessenger [after several payments for nothing 😞 ] and installed IM+ instead. By the way, do not forget to delete also "Agile Authentication" [aka "agileau"] if you don't want your communicator to send automatically surcharged SMS's every month..

About mid-December 2005 an update for Agile Messenger became available - the program has an automatic upgrade feature or you can try downloading it from the http://www.agilemessenger.com website.

Even with this version using yahoo and MSN - I sometimes get invalid username - but this tends to work after about an hour or so, I think the problem might be the service rather than the software.

The problem with crashing after a failed connection appears to have been fixed.

It's worth the upgrade because they have added 'google talk' and contact groups separations for Yahoo.

On another note - does anybody know if the 'push to talk' (PTT) button actually does anything at all.
